Okay so these Nest units are super easy, but you have to know that your AC unit is right. This one worked but the last house I was in wouldn't work. I ended up with the Ecobee and compared to the Nest it's not nearly as easy to use.

This one of the best thermostat I have purchased. It was a easy setup and use. It was easier to setup WiFi over the lyric.

The installation process was super simple and the Nest worked tight away. A very simple upgrade that makes it super simple to control my home heating and cooling from anywhere. Highly Recommended!

Does everything it says. Be sure to hook up the common wire when you install it or run a common wire from your furnace if you don't have one already. The Nest powers itself via the Y-R wires to charge it's internal battery. If you don't run your furnace very often, the internal battery will run down, and the furnace won't run until you put a charge in the Nest via microusb. Using the common wire (blue) will provide steady 20v to the unit and thus keep the charge. Other than that, it's a solid thermostat. I like the daily usage summary. It HAS helped to keep costs down. I've probably saved 30% by scheduling and letting Nest learn our routine. Installation is straightforward and well documented. Just be sure to use the blue common wire and run one if you don't have one already.

Nest is a great product that makes it very easy to install and use. I have already started saving on my energy bill which is great!

I've been keeping tabs on Nest for a while. I've wanted one since they came out and I'm finally at a point that I have my own house and want to fill it with nice things. Not only does Nest look great, but it works great too. My only complaint is the "Home and Away" sensing, but I turned it off and everything has worked pretty flawlessly. I unfortunately had to use the face plate as my old thermostat had holes that would've shown. When my wife and I reliant the house we'll fill them and take the face plate off because it makes it look so much cooler.

I purchased the nest smart thermostat because I wanted a way to set schedules and monitor energy usage, and after doing some research it was a no-brainer decision. I have had it for a month now, and had modest savings on my energy bill. We'll have to see how it does in the long run, but in my area this thing will theoretically pay for itself in around 3 years, and it looks great too. I definitely recommend this product.

Not the first time I have owned this product. We recently began building a new house and when it came time to choose the thermostats (1 upstairs and 1 down) we knew exactly which ones we wanted. Being able to control it, even when not at home, and having the ability to learn our settings preferences were a major plus and the simplistic design make this the best choice for our needs. Highly recommend.

This thing is just amazing, such an easy install. The app is flawless, has cut both my electric and gas bill significantly.

Geek squad installed this although its said to be easy to do yourself. Quick and easy set up on iphone to control anywhere. This is our second home so we can check the heat anytime. And as we get closer to the residence we can turn the hest up before we arrive to have the house toasty warm

Have nothing but good things to say about this product. Very easy to adjust and if so desired can learn your work schedule if option is enabled based on your location. I do enjoy the monthly report on how often heater or A/C has been turned on.. Great product can't go wrong with this purchase

There is little reason NOT to install this thermostat. There was a pretty decent sale and our local utility company also has a rebate for the installation of it. Sweet. It does begin to "learn" our habits after about a week. It's great to wake up to a warmer house and have it cooler at night while sleeping. Like the idea of monitoring from basically wherever we are to ensure that the heat is on....and if it isn't, can alert a friend/neighbor to have it checked. Works with Alexa as well.
