I installed this thermostat in May 2020 and initially everything worked very well. I started noticing significant savings on my utility bills and thought nothing more of it. Then once the weather started to change the issues started to arise. The learning feature started moving the temperature all over the place, I would frequently have to go in and program the thermostat back to the schedule that I wanted it on. In heat/cool mode it would consistently let the temperature idle outside of the range specified. Then in October the thermostat lost connectivity to my wifi connection and couldn't find any network. I spent several hours on the phone with Google support until they determined that the nest had suffered a hardware failure. Now I am waiting on a replacement device. Considering that the first until only lasted 4.5 months, I am not exactly optimistic about the longevity of this device. The only reason I didn't give one star is that the unit does save you money.

I own 2 units for my home. Just bought my dad a unit for his home. Love it and the interface!

It's everything I thought it would be. If you are looking to make your house a smart home then this is the best device to start because it serves a important purpose instead of a speaker that tells you the weather. Easy to install and works great with the app.

I love all the Nest products. Yes, they are expensive, but you get what you pay for.

I didn't use the Nest because it was not compatible with my unit. I highly recommend that you check compatibility before buying Nest

Had an issue where it wouldn't consistently run AC even when i manually force it on it goes delayed. It doesn't seem to work as well as my old thermostat in terms of actually pumping cold air. I like the schedule, and being able to set this remoteleyh. It also looks great, but I question how well it actually cools my house. Did not ever seem to get as cold as my old thermostat unit.
