WIFI Chip Failure Do your research before buying this product! Look for a different brand. WIFI chip went bad in mine in less than 5 months. Their customer service tried to help sending a refurbished faulty display after spending some time in chat trying to debug the issue that I have already tried by myself but they wanted me to do again to process with the replacement. After I got the replacement (faulty refurbished display) because they don't send a new replacement even you buy your new device, I have spent in chat with the customer support more than 2 hours trying to make it work, first with the support agent and later with a senior support agent, so I had to send back the faulty refurbished replacement, I don't want to experience the same again asking for other replacement because they will only send refurbished devices, really a bad experience. Features are awesome when they work, the problem is they are not reliable. Search online for Nest WIFI chip failure. Then make your decision.

I have a Nest upstairs and downstairs. Easy install and just works. I tell everyone that they need a NEST.

Highly recommend - I've replaced both thermostats in my house with Nests. They are easy to use and look great.

The installation of the Nest Thermostat is pretty straightforward. Make sure you verify your control unit wires are compatible before you purchase. Also, make sure you know what type of AC/Heater type you have (multi-stage, ect...). After two months of having it installed, I have saved roughly $150 each month. The remote capabilities are also a nice feature for those that would like to use it in a summer/winter home.

The features and ease of use are amazing and the fact that it has already learned our schedules and is controlling our energy usage is awesome! Very easy to install, just follow the instructions. Online app makes it easy to program, if you do not want to do it manually on the unit itself. The self learning feature only takes a few days to know your heating and cooling pattern. Note: I would believe most homes would need to use the backing plate that come with the unit. All the photos of the unit mounted on the wall do not show the plate, only the unit.

Nest learning thermostat is very easy to install. It is very convenient to control thru your phone remotely .

I love my Nest thermostat. It works great with my alarm system called SimpliSafe. When I turn on my alarm, if I set it up, My alarm system will automatically adjust my temperature. I can control it from my phone by raising or lowering the temperature before I get home or after I leave. I can set up my weekly schedule. It's the best thermostat I have ever owned. I highly recommend getting one. I liked it so much I purchased a second one for my upstairs.
