Not a simple as one hoped, but in the end got it running. I replaced a Gen 1 Nest, so the wiring was not difficult. The biggest problem was the 6 digit combo to enter, mine was XY0GTT. It took multiple tries until I figured out the "0" was a zero and not an O. Someone, smarter than me, should have thought to never to use O/0 in the code. Nest was better as a stand alone company, instead of under Google's umbrella

Great product, still trying to figure out how to use it. While away I am able to check it to make sure it is turned off. I am able to heat or cool the house prior to arriving home.

I really like this thermostat. I bought this based on a rebate from the power company. I especially like the remote features that allows me to active the heat/ac on my way from work, this has saved me a fortune. Lots of other great features makes this more than just a thermostat. After using this for a few months I bought another nest for the other heat zone.

We live in a three story home so it's not the most energy efficient, we thought that using a smart thermostat would help that and we've had a notable difference since purchasing the nest. There are a lot of great features like the app that allows you to set it to away and control the temperature from anywhere. I also like that it shows your energy usage in terms of how long your heater or A/C had run.
