I like that I can lock it with a pin so kids so crank it up. But I dislike that when I have it off. The enegysaving mode turns it on to the settings it remember that I like. Something its warmer by front door due to being close to kitchen but the rest of house is cold so it randomly turns on.

Thanks for sharing your review with us. We can see how your experience with the thermostat's Auto-Schedule feature was difficult for you. What you can do is to turn off Auto-Schedule then you can manually edit the existing schedule, or create an entirely new one. This way it will only follow the schedule you want and you can manually control when it turns off or turns on.
To turn off Auto-Schedule on your thermostat:
- Choose Settings
- and then Nest Sense
- and then Auto-Schedule
- and then Off.

It was expensive to get the wiring done although it only took an hour. The problem was that the nest takes up more power than older thermostats with a battery but it also helps save energy in the long run. I made an investment and i hope it pays off. I also have some troubles with the software at times when it says it is not getting enough power although it works most of the time

Posted .Hi Elii, thanks for reaching out. It's awesome that you had an easy time installing the Nest Learning Thermostat. We do apologize for any difficulty you may have encountered with the wiring setup.
There are cases where the wires of your heating and cooling system can't deliver enough power to support the Nest thermostat's features and this usually depends on how well maintained your heating and cooling system is. They then start draining the batteries and disconnect from your Wifi network. The best course of action is to install a common (C) wire between your HVAC and Nest thermostats to resolve the battery drain problem.

You can literally control the temp from your job, or anywhere. Energy saving mode comes in clutch and you can set modes up for when you are away. So far grear purchase.

Bought 2 one will not connect to the internet I am a year outside of the manufacturer warranty. Called Geek Squad 4 year warranty and was told to just take it off the wall and bring it in. Be advised that I paid someone to install this nest thermostat but I’m just supposed to take it off the wall and it is 100 degrees today. They offed to send some one out to take it off the wall and I would then have to bring it in myself. Surely if you have the means to send someone out to take it off the wall one might think that they could send someone out to see why one connects and the other don’t
