It let us know there was an issue after installing it with the system shutting off too soon. I replaced the air filter and it went away. It also allows you to programs times and temperatures easily. Best part is the history letting you know how long and when the system turns on everyday, so you can adjust and save money.

The Nest was my replacement choice and has really surprised me, not only does it turn off so there is no light at night, it warned us of an issue with our air. The diagram pointed out exactly where the issue was. Also I have noticed that the Nest is far more efficient that my prior one, our air is not working as hard as before and the energy bill has decreased.
