New house - had to get a Nest thermostat (had one in previous place). Easy to install (follow directions to make sure you know which wire goes where), easy to use. Can set Heating, cooling or combo (set upper/lower temps for fall and spring when you might need heat or cooling). You can set a schedule - it is a bit tedious to set (have to do each day individually) or let the thermometer "learn". I like the house cold at night (58-60 deg) but want the heat to come on about an hour before I get up - so prefer the schedule. Eco mode does save $$!

Absolutely worth it! It allows you to control your HVAC system remotely, create schedules for heating and cooling, and it adapts to your preferences over time. The potential energy savings can translate to lower utility bills, and the sleek design adds a modern touch to your condo.

I love this thermostat so far. It's easy, looks nice, and works well. I'm still figuring out the learning feature which may not be as useful for me since my schedule is never the same.

I love the Google Nest products. I have replaced all of my smoke detectors and upgraded my nest to this latest version. The seamless integration of all products are phenomenal. My only complaint is the high price of these nest products. For example, each one of my Nest smoke detectors have an expiration date on them. Since it’s recommended to replace your smoke detectors every 5 to 7smoke detectors have an expiration date on them. Since it’s recommended to replace your smoke detectors every 5 to 7 years, the Nest smoke detectors will stop working after that expiration date. This means you have to purchase a new smart smoke detector after the expiration date. It would be nice to be able to send in your existing smoke detectors after they need to be replaced to Google them refurbished for a smaller cost than buying a new one. Overall, the nest thermostat is a great upgrade to any HVAC system and long run will save you money with its smart features.

This was easy to install and connect to my wifi network. It learns quickly. Love the Alexa compatibility and the phone app. I would highly recommend this thermostat!

I had originally purchased an ecobee4 for the Alexa integration. However, the experience was less than stellar. No ESP, meaning the ecobee and my dot would both respond to commands. This got old incredible fast. Not to mention, the initial setup was easy - but I felt like I was constantly tweaking things to optimize cooling. I got tired of reading forums online and trying to figure out what the best AC cycle schedule for my home. After a few weeks, I decided to give the Nest a try to see if the "grass was greener". Sure enough, I've been enjoying the new thermostat for a few days now. No tweaking. No reading up online. No fuss. The thing just works. I don't regret my purchase; I haven't looked back :)

I seriously installed this thermostat within 10 minutes total time! It "wakes" when you walk past it to show you the temp and being able to make adjustments laying in bed on the app is extremely convenient! It's an easy install and a great investment/upgrade to your home. I would give it 5 stars if it weren't for the premium price tag.

This device works as advertised, simple to install and setup. Connects easily to wireless and phones with Nest app. WAY too expensive though - can't really mark it down for that though - I paid for it.

Why did we wait so long?? Our thermostat died on one side of our house so we decided to go ahead and replace both of them at the same time. the wonderful young man we worked with told us this Google Nest was an excellent thermostat. He wasn't kidding. The thermostat was incredibly easy to set up. (we had our air conditioner guys install it but it did look easy to install). It learned our habits in a week so we very rarely every touch it. We traveled out of state and I couldn't remember if I turned the air up. Jumped on my phone and was able to adjust the temp while out of town.

Purchased 2 of these. Install was very simple. Took about 15 mins each to have installed and set up. Gives me better control of my home's heating and cooling. Especially in the Southeast part of the country where the temperatures fluctuate between winters and summer temperatures this time of year. I'll see how it pays off over the next few months but right now, all looks good. Pros: Easy to install Nice app Looks nice on the wall Feature packed Auto-away is awesome Cons: Can't see current temperature without going close to it (only shows the set temp) A little pricey

This thermostat works great and very easy to use. I was changing a 31 year old thermostat so anything would be better than what I had but this has been a pleasant surprise to see how easy it is.

This thermostat has almost paid for itself by saving me money on my heating/electrical bills. My AC doesn’t run as much during summer and my heating doesn’t run as much in the winter. Also, when I leave the house, it auto adjusts the temperature to a range that won’t use as much energy. Lastly, it has intelligent scheduling so it learns when you want it warmer/cooler on average during the day. This product was very easy to install by myself using the included instructions, tools, and wire labels. However, if you’re concerned with electrical work, just contact your HVAC company. I’ll never go back to a “dumb” thermostat!

I love the Nest thermostat. I love being able to adjust the temperature in my home when I am away. This was a huge issue for me prior to purchasing the thermostat. I would head out for work in the morning and not return home until late evening with the air/heat running throughout the day, which would kill my budget. I also like that the thermostat learns your pattern and complies a schedule (which can be amended) based on it. Lastly, I like that the system keeps track of your history and helps you be more mindful in your electrical usage. The thermostat was very easy to install and you may reach a Nest specialist 24/7 for assistance, if needed.

This is perfect for our busy lives. Setting a schedule is a good feature but the better feature is the ability to adjust the temp from anywhere. After we are away on weekends walking into my home with a comfortable atmosphere is a treat. The best of all with a larger family i can see when it was adjusted. I haven't said "Who touched the thermostat" since my Nest Thermostat has been installed. NEVER TOUCH THE THERMOSTAT......lol. One small flaw (that was easily fixed) when you have it hooked up to one phone with the home/away feature ON. My family did not appreciate it when i was outside our wifi and it would kick into the ECO mode. puhaha whoops

I have had their Nest camera's now for over two years (which synchronize nicely with the thermostat.) I have enjoyed having the cameras so much, I began focusing on their thermostat. This thermostat is very cool. It is easy to install (watch YouTube) and fast. The coolest feature of all is that I can control the temperature from my iPhone and iPad. This works with any smartphone. The Nest device lights up when I get near it, otherwise it conserves the energy by not illuminating constantly. I am happy that I made this purchase, and feel good about, in a small way, that I am being resourceful. Note: I received a rebate from my utility company after providing proof of purchase. So immediately I have saved money.

With all of the new technology out in the marketplace it's hard to figure out which devices are worthy of your hard earned dollars. I can say without reservation that the nest thermostat is amazing! From the minute you open the box the the product exudes quality. It is extremely easy to install. The performance of this device is flawless. I have four of these installed in my house for over a year and saved $300.00 on my heating bill last year. I don't have central air so I really can rate on this function. Combine this with the nest smoke /CO2 detector and you have a bulletproof safety system that can be monitored remotely. I highly recommend the Nest Thermostat. And with the $100.00 energy rebate you can't go wrong!

We were looking at the item on display, and of course there were no sales people to be found, and a total stranger asked us if we were interested in the NEST. We said yes and he did the rest, he loved the item showed us what was involved with installation, showed us his cell phone and what we could do and see, and not even be in our home. SOLD. Our NEST thermostat is installed and does what it says we can do. We are also going to purchase the smoke alarm and camera. It is so cool to have the ability to warm, protect, and visualize, right on your cell phone, without actually being there. Great idea and product!!!!!!! I recommend this product to all.
