Excellent thermostat, easily the best looking one on the market. If i could redo it though I wouldn't get stainless steel, the white or black models look a lot better. Also I disable the smart learning feature, while that's their main marketing gimmick here I feel using the robust scheduling interface to set exactly what I want makes more sense - otherwise the device just continually messes with your scheduling any time you deviate from your normal patterns on any given day.

If you're a Texas resident or somewhere where you heavily rely on your HVAC unit, then I highly recommend a NEST. It's programmable online, on a smartphone app & everything is so user-friendly. It was a breeze to DIY install. Took no time & you don't have to be a professional electrictian whatsoever. Rather than continue to waste money on a non-programmable thermostat, this is a MUST HAVE. If you want your home set at a particular temp while you're gone, or if you change your mind (or the weather does) then you can simply adjust via the app. So simple.

Love being able to control it anywhere. Can lock it for the visiting guest who thought our AC should be set on 74. Only thing is, when replacing another thermostat (mine were Honeywell), be sure and look at the bottom designation/heat pump identities of the wires in order to hook up correctly with this Nest. Otherwise awesome. The provided trim plate isn't very attractive and is simply white so if you need to dress it up, look for a color plate.

Great thermostat to use. Very easy. Learns your schedule and i never have to touch the temp. Will save money in the long run and pay for itself. Easy to set up and use their app.

Works amazingly well. When out of the house I can control the temperature should I forget or simply wish for it to be warmer/colder when I get home.

We did a bit of research on this thermostat before making the purchasing. At first it seemed similar to programmable thermostats that are much less in initial cost, but it's far superior. The Nest thermostat not only learns your schedule and changes temperatures accordingly, but lets you know when you're being energy efficient. Seeing the leaf (Nest's way of telling you you're being energy more efficient) has helped us become more aware of our energy usage, which in turn has saved us money. In the long run, this product will easily pay for itself. In addition, the ability to change the house temperature while away has been a great added benefit!

Very easy to install took less than 5minutes, using with the app is great as you can have temp set before you walk in the door. Certainly recommend

With a month of use, working exactly as I needed. Easy to install; easy phone interface. Has useful historical tracking of system cycle on/off to see effect of interior temp setting and outside temp. I expect to save the price of the unit in electricity with better system control and data.

Bit pricey for what it does, but the ease of use and setup make it worth it. Reliably controls temperature and 'learns' what you prefer, that you pretty much don't even need to use your smartphone to control it.

This is my second google nest. It is easy to use and looks really good. The best part is that you can control the temp via your smart phone.

The Nest was easy to install and our utility company has already provided us with a $125.00 credit for installing it. Functions are user friendly and are more than were expected.

Bought this to see if it will help on energy usage...so far it is very easy to use..takes time for it to learn your patterns. Like that I can change setting from my phone

In this day and age - your just a web search away from knowing virtually anything and everything about a product your interested in. That being said - instructions were easy to follow for installation. It looks great installed, and is working without any issues so far (going on a couple months now). It saved us on energy usage and the apps works like it should. Can't ask for more for my money.

The nest thermostat is easy to install. It learned our daily routine and sets the temperature according to our presence. The electricity bill has gone down around 15 dollars.

Love this thing, paired with Alexa is awesome. Can set the ac from bed or on my way home from work. Also there is almost always a rebate from your local power company

We purchased the thermostat over the holidays. Easiest thing to install and the fact that we can control it from anywhere. It is going to pay for itself .
