Works great and best way to handle from cellphone when not home

This smart thermostat is only going to be advantageous if you use your heating and cooling a lot. The claim by Nest is that it only saves up to 15% ish of your AC bill. If you're like me who prefers to keep windows open as much as possible and use the AC as minimal as possible, then you wont find it to be super money saving. I only got it because I had an expiring BestBuy rewards certificate. That being said, I really like the convenience of turning on, off and adjust the settings from my phone and not having to walk to the thermostat every time.

This is the unit I needed to work in my house. The connection worked great even in a home from the 70's. Made setting seeing the temperature much better than the non-smart thermostats.

This is the second one I have purchased. They are simple to install and set up. Interface is easy to learn. My nest is downstairs so it's nice to be up stairs or anywhere and control it.

A+ great but do not over tighten screws! If you over tighten screws on the mounting plate the main part will not snap on because the mounting plate needs to be perfectly flat. Even a slight warp not visible to the eye will make the main part impossible to mount. Other than having to solve this issue I give this product 5 stars because it works so very well.

I'm still getting to know all the settings I can use to save money. My primary reason for wanting a smart thermostat was to have the A/C go off when I leave the house in case I'd overridden my scheduled settings, but I've quickly become a huge fan of being able to ask Google from my bed to turn my Nest thermostat down in the middle of the night when I get too hot.

Its been more than 2 years. I bought 2 of these and they work like a charm. The auto feature sometimes messes up the temperature control. but for most part is a smart thermostat.
