New house did not like the thermostat. Had to get another one with the extra modules for the downstairs and baby’s room. Very comfortable and helps save on energy costs

It claims to be smart and can adjust the temperature in the room, however, I always feel the temperature to be lower than I wanted, although I adjust manually every day, it still sets the temperature low.

We understand your concern about the lower temperature reading, and the first thing we recommend is to start by checking the location of the thermostat, as it may impact the accurate temperature reading. Here are a couple of troubleshooting steps to help isolate the issue further, as well as identifying that the thermostat is not impacted by external factors:
- Restart the thermostat by pressing the display until it shows a black screen and wait until it's back up and running. A restart should be sufficient to re-calibrate them and show an accurate value.
- Check if the Sunblock feature is on or off. Open Nest App > Select the thermostat > Tap Settings > Look for Nest Sense > Turn off/on Sunblock
- Nest Thermostats in the U.S. and Canada are typically installed on a wall. Check for proximity of the thermostat to: air vents / electrical outlets / appliances / plumbing (hot water pipes) / warm air in the wall behind the thermostat. This may also affect the reading for the temperature.
- Some wireless access points cause the Nest Learning Thermostat’s wifi chip to overheat, which affects the thermostat’s detected ambient temperature. We suggest disconnecting the network for 24 hours, and monitoring the temperature.
Different brands of thermostats and thermometers have different ways of measuring and reading the ambient temperature. Normally, a temperature difference of 1-2°F can be negligible, but if it is greater than that, and should the steps we highlighted not identify the issue, then we may need to have a look at what may be causing it and work on improving your experience. I've noticed the Nest does not auto-set exactly as you'd think it would, and I've also run into a few issues where I went on vacation and it would not register I was "away" causing my AC to run while I wasn't home. Overall, great product, but still a few kinks it seems.

Super intuitive and learns your preferred temperatures so you don’t have to waste time programming temps for times of the day/days of the week.

The ability to integrate in whole home systems is very good. Check with your utility as I wa able to secure a coupon for $125 off the thermostat.

I love the ease of this thermostat and it seems to be helping with how much my heater/ac is running yet still at the temps I like.

It learns your heating and cooling preferences and then automatically heats and cools based on how you live. You can also make changes using the app from wherever you are.

If we forget to turn the thermostat on before we get home, the Nest does it for us. Installation was easy on our newer furnace but a little more difficult on my Father's.
