It took me a long time to finally take the plunge and spend this kind of money on a thermostat, but when the local power company offered a substantial credit for installing one, I made the made the move and bought two of them (1 upstairs and 1 downstairs). I figured installation would be a complicated ordeal, but I couldn't have been more wrong. It took about 15 minutes to install and another 15 minutes to set up. I'm amazed at how useful these "little computers" are and how they've helped lower my utility usage in such a short time. It "learns" your preferences and senses when you're "away" from home, then adjusts the temperature accordingly. There's no setting up a daily "schedule", because it "learns" how you like the temperature over time. The phone app (and web log-in) allows me to monitor and control from anywhere in the world. This is a great product! I shouldn't have waited.

The Google Nest thermostat is a game-changer. It's saved me money on energy bills while making temperature control a breeze. Easy installation, personalized scheduling, remote access via smartphone, and compatibility with voice assistants like Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa make it a must-have for any home. Highly recommend!

As a DAD with Thermostat anxiety the Nest gives me the security that if ANYONE touches the Thermostat, I can drop it back to the cost saving mode it should be at. The ease of use, the reminders to change the air filter is a DADS dream when it comes to Thermostat control. Very easy install made me look like a professional to may family and all the praise that goes with it. I would highly recommend this to any DAD out there who's job is keeping Heating and A/C cost under control to get one of these. The app let's me adjust the temp....even when I'm not there. FYI if you have a wife who has hot flashes, all advice above is null and void. ENJOY!

Thermostat works as stated. Has a lot of good features. The main feature that got us to purchase was being able to change while away from home. It does have learning features that we also liked but did expect more specific learning features per user.

So easy to install and setup. Works well with Alexa and I love how we can check the temperature while away from the house. I also like how it displays the current temp from at least 10 feet or more while I walk past the Nest.

This is my 2nd one. Simple and easy to use. Installation was very quick and easy. Love the app! Looks beautiful on the wall.

This product can be connected to the internet and you can allow the local electric company to adjust the settings on days when they need to limit electricity usage. These settings can be overwritten. Supposedly we got some additional rebates since we let it heat us up a bit from 2pm to 6pm on a couple of days. One of the nice features with this is that it cools your house a bit colder from 1:30ish to 2 so that it doesn't have to run as much during the peak period. It also connects to your phone so it knows if you are home or not, and if you are on your way home. (If you are comfortable letting it know that much about you.) If you have enabled this, it will let the house warm up to "away" levels then when the gps can tell you are on your way home Nest begins cooling your house so that it is comfortable by the time you get home.

So simple to install and use. Love the convinience of being able to adjust the temp from my phone no matter where I’m at. The usage history also shows how much my unit has run everyday so I can adjust accordingly in order to save money.

Please do not be intimidated by this technology. It is sooo easy to install. You don’t need a Nest Pro Installer. Works flawlessly, beautiful color and design. One of my favorite purchases this year.

The Nest Learning Thermostat, Gen 3, isn’t a new product but we finally got this. Also, added a sensor to try to balance temperature between two rooms. It took 2 mins to connect the Sensor. It seemed to work fine. But somehow, my Thermostat is not connecting to the APP. I tried to reset the Thermostat, first removing the Sensor. Reset & reinstalled the Thermostat, added the Sensor. I still can not get them on the NEAT APP. ARGH. REMOVED A STAR BECAUSE OF THIS.

Great product, easy to install, set up, looks great and connects seamlessly to the phone app and Google Home. Getting a free Home mini was a huge bonus and sold me on buying it now and starting down my path of home automation.

I debated for a couple of months between three different WiFi thermostats. After trying all three, the Nest was by far the best. It is easy to use, user friendly app and is just great looking on the wall. I would definitely recommend this product!

This is a real intelligent thermostat. It senses if you are at home or away and adjusts temperatures based on your use (it learns your preferences for day time and night time temperatures as you use it). This saves money by utilizing energy in the most efficient way. Installation was a breeze. I must admit I'm an advanced do-it-yourselfer. I still think it's pretty simple to install over a standard thermostat connection if you follow all directions properly. A suggestion is to take a picture of the original connection and then try to install this in case you forget which wire goes to which socket. Overall, once installed, it not only gives you the ability to control temperature with your app from anywhere, it also helps save energy by optimizing temperature in the home when not around. Highly recommend this to everyone.

This thermostat is easy to install and setup and it works flawlessly. I love the networked features and am able to adjust temps easily remote. Links to smoke detectors for added safety. Just a really good product.

We bought this device about 6 months ago but didn't install it till just about a week ago. I had some help with the install, but it seemed fairly easy to do. This thermostat is full of great features which we are still getting use too. We love the ability to manage it through out mobile phones and the cant get over how nice it looks once installed.

I waited SEVERAL years before finally buying one. I always thought it would be a “luxury” but now it’s a necessity. Couple this with Google Home and you’ve got an awesome setup. I can turn on my air conditioner from anywhere.. if you’ve been on a summer vacation and had it turned down or off, you can turn it back on before you head back so it’s nice when you walk in. It truly is a game changer. Also.. I’m pretty sure it’s saving me money on my bill. I’ve run my air conditioner more often than before, but it doesn’t run as long now, which keeps the rooms cool and the bill lower. I installed it myself.. just watch YouTube videos and BE CAREFUL (shut off breaker first)

I have only had it for a couple weeks but it is so easy to use it and it works so well that you wonder how you got along without it. I have it a condo in Suttons Bay and I can not only see and change the temp with my smartphone but many other pieces of info are transmitted with it. It learns what your programming needs are without having to do anything else and it fiqures out what your best temp is for every hour of the day. It also turns on when you go by and it shows you how long it will take to get to a certain temp that you set. Pretty neat device
