I purchase this unit for my home. I have a 3 zone heating and cooling system in my house. Before opening the box but after buying the Nest I read on the box to verify the unit will work on your system. The box says it will work on over 95% of homes in the US. I guess I must be one of the 5 % it doesnt work on. What was frustrating is that I checked the website and it told me to email technical support to verify it will work in my home. I did that and the customer support department told me that it would work. And for a short period of time it did. Until I realized that my upstairs and downstairs zones no longer worked. So in the end I had to return the device. But for the time I had the Nest it was very cool to run and play with.

No cons what so ever! Easy install, easy to use, AC works better and more efficient.

I am not handy at all. Seriously this was a breeze. Took off old thermostat, took a picture of existing wiring, mounted the nest, followed the simple directions for the four wires, programming the wifi. Turned it on cool and prayed!!! Yessss, now turned on heat, held breath......viola!! IT ALL WORKED! 35 Minutes. Love my Nest!

Was so happy to move back into my home and install this. I can hit the app and turn on my AC unit so that house is much cooler when I get home from work than waiting to turn it on when I got home. Easy to install and operate via mobile phone.

This is the second time I've bought Nest units for two separate houses. Currently have two installed in one place. They install easy and work flawless. Hoping they support Apple Homekit in the future.

This thermostat does everything, it can control three a/c units and two heaters along with a humidifier at the same time! Installation is easy and does not require a pro, I had no prior knowledge of installation and installed in 15 minutes. Turn of power and follow directions. If it doesn’t turn on right away it just needs to charge the battery up for about 5 minutes...don’t panic. Great device definelty recommend.

I admit I bought it because it was cool, The promise of better electric bills due to scheduled use also helped. It has delivered on all of that. What I did not realize is how much we would use the remote control. Both my wife and myself are are never comfortable at just one temp. The Nest is on the far end of the house and it was up and down often. Now we open the app on our smart phone and comfy we are.

I had a Honywell Programable Wifi Thermostat, and thought I would try out Nest. Nest is very user friendly, and works great when it is in a living room or somewhere where there is high traffic. I have another thermostat upstairs in a hallway, so I didn't upgrade that to Nest, due to the location. The only thing I wish would be an option, would be to see the current temp on the thermostat when you get close to it. So far that isn't an option.
