We moved into a new house and were looking for ways to save money and cut our utilities down. We landed on the Nest, and we are so glad we did. Although I can't saw what our bills would have been with the old thermostat, I do know that being able to turn on air conditioning or turn up the heat just when we started our commute home saved us a ton of money. Love being able to control our temperature from our phones.

Enjoy the access I have when I am away from home. Easy to work.

Just had the Nest Learning Thermostat - 3rd Generation - Copper Installed a week ago and I am in 2 to 3 week period where the thermostat learns my heating and cooling habits. So far, its working fabulously and I've do no changes; like it already knows what I like. Way, way cool! The copper version I have looks really awesome in my Arts & Crafts style home.

I bought this thermostat after seeing a promotion from my electricity provider who gives a rebate every year for having one of these in my home (i actually have 2 and get double rebates)! I love the ability to be able to adjust the temperature from anywhere using the app on my phone. And I can easily see the current temperature from across the room. the reminders to change the air filters are also a nice touch.

I Love my NEST Thermostat, especially using it with GoogleHome. If I forget to turn down the heat before leaving the house, I can do it remotely, or set it automatically turn down the heat when I leave the house. ... andI love the "History" that shows daily usage. Based on my satisfaction of this product, I've now purchased the NEST Smoke/CO Alarm, and am looking forward to purchasing more products from NEST.

I love the Nest. It looks great and was relatively easy to install. Love my choice.

This is my second unit. Works as advertised. The installation was very easy to do.

May be a bit difficult to set up if your current thermostat is older 2 wire. The multiple choices of connections on the nest can be confusing. The web was not entirely helpful , however, the schematic on the Nest screen itself gave needed input to install correctly for heating only. Once installed, it works perfectly. Good metrics on usage and the "Away" function should help with managing overall heating cost.

Anyone with an old-fashioned thermostat simply doesn't know what they are missing. Even when I purchased this product, I was not aware of all the useful, easy functions that were available. While a bit more expensive than the competition, it's worth every penny. In fact, I recommend replacing even perfectly working thermostats with the Nest 3rd Generation.

I love this product. I love the fact that I control everything right from either the Nest app or the Google Home app from anywhere. I highly recommend.

I never thought having a smart thermostat would provide me with such joy but it does. I love being able to set it to warm at a certain temperature and cool at another. Plus being able to change it from my phone without having to go upstairs is another big perk

It was easy to install and had it up and running in about 1/2 hour. Great product.

It seems that we can remotely control just about everything now but the Nest learning thermostat really makes sense. Remotely controlling your air/heating units can save you a lot of money. The benefit of the learning thermostat is that it can learn your patterns and save you money with minimal input. Definitely worth the expense.

I read all reviews first before purchasing it, and also took advice from a friend who installed it. I also checked compatibility issues and everything seemed OK. Installation was quick and easy. I first had issues to connect to my wifi network. I rebooted my router and tried a few other things until I got it connected. However, it soon lost connection due to a low battery level. I tried to change the batteries but you can't: this device has unchangeable built-in batteries that charge from the wiring to your furnace. I rechecked connection, checked with Nest Support, and they gave me no good solution to this. It was a weak technical staff. The only way I found to make it charge was to lower the display luminosity level. As it goes on every time it detects movement in front of it, this weird solution managed to keep it working. I had it installed for a week with no problems. Then I travelled for 2 weeks and checked its functioning thru the phone app and it kept working fine. Until a week ago, my furnace got stuck working with the fan only but no heat, and as I live in Minneapolis, that's no good. I could not make it work again, and I could not even reset it. There was a green light blinking on the front of Nest but no other life signals. I had to uninstall it and bring back the original and reliable thermostat. I found out that many users had similar problems due to a bug in the software update released in Dec/2016. I'll try to resurrect it and try to get update its software, but I will return it if not successful. It does learn your habits and starts regulating the temp. I like the concept and the possibility to check it on line. But it didn't live up to the promise. I recognize I may have gotten a lemon. I would recommend it, but with caution.
