Pros: As an extremely novice home renter, I called the 24/7 helpline that Nest provides. The amazing representative walked me through each step and made install simple and worry-less. It learns our schedules and makes the house comfortable when we're there and saves us money when we're away; all from our phones! Cons: None to report so far.

This is my second nest, and I love them. Recently sold my house and bought a new house. It required an updated thermostat, and after my experience with the prior generation of the next, I bought a new nest, and love it. Easy installation, easy to use.

I wouldn’t fault anyone for owning and ecobee but as someone heavily invested in google’s ecosystem it was the right choice for me. I like the support in the best hub and the integration with my best smoke detectors for presence. I like that it’s easy to use/program.

Thermostat itself was awesome and i loved it but i had to return it cuz i didnt have a C wire on my thermostat and hooking a new one up is too much work. But for the time it was hooke up and on, it worked great!

Love this thermostat! We had one in our old house and when we moved we had the Ecobee because we read it was the "best". We were wrong. We had nothing but trouble with the Ecobee and a so happy to be back with the Nest.

Really like the Nest Thermostat & all it has to offer. Only reason for the 4 star versus the 5 is mine has a little glitch. You can set it up where it can tell if you're home by using your phones location but mine will switch to Away mode while I'm sitting in the house. Made a appointment for Geek squad to come out so hopefully that will remedy the problem.

This thermostat could easily be the best home gadget for 2016. Nest. Keep it up bringing awesome new & improve products. Best Buy. Keep it up bring those great discounts. Thanks.

I love all of the Nest products. Planned on adding a thermostat to a second home. Unfortunately, found the Nest is not compatible with Carrier Infinity systems. Ended up installing the Carrier wireless thermostat. It works but not as easy & simple to use as the Nest. If compatible .... I highly recommend using a Nest thermostat.

This is my second Nest thermostat. I love the way it works with both Alexa and the Google mini. I can operate be asking the smart assistant or by using the Nest app. I also like that it knows by my phone location that I've left and adjusts the temp accordingly.

This product is fantastic! My family and I love it, we can use our phone to set the temperature and monitor it from any and everywhere. I told all of my friends about it. I would buy this again and again.

Easy to install and use. You can control the temperature via mobile phone when you are away from home . Highly recommended.

We are using less fuel snd the house is warmer in frigid weather! Preheating means the house is already warm when I come downstairs and get out of the shower. No worrying that I forgot to turn down the heat. The unit was easy to install. Like it so much we bought another.

This is actually my second Nest learning thermostat. We received one as a gift about 7 years ago and it worked so well that we ended up buying a new one when we bought our house. The features remained familiar and the app remembered our schedule. The wiring was easy, Nest is really good about providing intuitive instructions. As for the Nest app, it works well. We have a few Nest cameras and some Nest Protects and I can access everything from the Nest app. I have 3 of the Google Nest thermostats for other areas of the home and they do not work with the Nest app. This thermostat does work with the Google home app, so you can use that app for multiple Google Nest items. Overall, this little guy saves us money and helps with home automations. 5 stars!!

Very good product, convenient at its best. I can adjust my house’s temperature when I was away, and Eco mode helps save even more energy. Very glad I bought this before winter.

Works great and is easy to read. There are advantages and disadvantages to it learning your schedule as every now and then I don’t leave the house as early as usual so the heat gets turned down before I get out of bed. Also when I come home late the heat will already be on, when I’d rather it not be running when I get home. I haven’t downloaded the app yet, so after doing that I will be able to control the thermostat with my phone which may help.

This is the 2nd time ive bought one of these thermostats. I really like it for the ease of use on setting a schedule or being able adjust it from my phone. As far as energy savings, I can't validate any claims to that but its way better then any stock one out there!

At first I was skeptical of replacing my honeywell thermostat, until I see articles about smart home equipments. Thought to myself why not try first with the thermostat. The nest design is the best out there. When you compare it to the ecobee and honeywell smart thermostats, the nest's minimalist design, clickwheel function and easy to grasp menu items takes the cake. You can set it up fairly easily with the instructions in the box but you have to be careful to properly label your old thermostat wires and connect the corresponding colors in the nest. This thermostat is really convenient by controlling it with the nest app so the house is toasty warm when you come home or cool in the summer. Overall a very good buy.

Combined with my Smart Phone, this Smart Wifi Thermostat adds amazing value. I can turn up, turn down, or turn off remotely as well as easily schedule and preset temperatures anywhere and any time!
