Nest thermostat

Excellent Smart Thermostat

It truly learns the temperatures. Our bill has already went down within the first 60 days of installation.

I love when I'm lazy and upstairs I can adjust the temperature right from my cell phone. We've seen a reduction in our energy bills and the rebates we got made this a no brainer.

Drove up to store and picked up right away, store aso helped match the online price. Nest is easy to setup and very intuitive to use. Highly recommended

Setup is fast and makes it fun to actually have a thermostat. Being able to track your usage is the best part, plus "eco" mode. Buy it.

It is so intuitive once you sync it to your home hub and smartphone or iPad. My mom is 65 and loves this thing already, and it’s barely been a week!

As it learns your household habits you can see the thermostat learning and adjusting. And starting to save you on your heating and cooling bills . The app works well with phone, with adjusting the thermostat. And tracks when you leave and reduces the temperature, and raising it when you return. Also ties in to Amazon Echo Dot and easily reponse to verbally commands. Looking forward to adding another to the upstairs section of my home, and watch the savings increase.

Stylist and smart but ...

It claims to be smart and can adjust the temperature in the room, however, I always feel the temperature to be lower than I wanted, although I adjust manually every day, it still sets the temperature low.

We understand your concern about the lower temperature reading, and the first thing we recommend is to start by checking the location of the thermostat, as it may impact the accurate temperature reading. Here are a couple of troubleshooting steps to help isolate the issue further, as well as identifying that the thermostat is not impacted by external factors:
- Restart the thermostat by pressing the display until it shows a black screen and wait until it's back up and running. A restart should be sufficient to re-calibrate them and show an accurate value.
- Check if the Sunblock feature is on or off. Open Nest App > Select the thermostat > Tap Settings > Look for Nest Sense > Turn off/on Sunblock
- Nest Thermostats in the U.S. and Canada are typically installed on a wall. Check for proximity of the thermostat to: air vents / electrical outlets / appliances / plumbing (hot water pipes) / warm air in the wall behind the thermostat. This may also affect the reading for the temperature.
- Some wireless access points cause the Nest Learning Thermostat’s wifi chip to overheat, which affects the thermostat’s detected ambient temperature. We suggest disconnecting the network for 24 hours, and monitoring the temperature.
Different brands of thermostats and thermometers have different ways of measuring and reading the ambient temperature. Normally, a temperature difference of 1-2°F can be negligible, but if it is greater than that, and should the steps we highlighted not identify the issue, then we may need to have a look at what may be causing it and work on improving your experience. Followed instructions and in no time everything was up and running. I have locked it so now my teen cant change the temp when I'm not there. The app is soooooo easy to use also!

I particularly like the heat pump balance setting, which prevents the use of auxiliary heat, and the monthly summaries showing energy use comparisons.

Learns your schedule and goes in eco mode when away. Uses GPS on phone to turn on heat when getting close to home. Love it!
