I’m a HVAC tech and wasn’t a big fan to work on them but for a smart stat I started using Google at my house and I’m enjoying it.

The Nest was very easy to install -- easier than expected -- and has been working as advertised. I particularly like the heat pump balance setting, which prevents the use of auxiliary heat, and the monthly summaries showing energy use comparisons.

It's an excellent way to control your heating and cooling systems. I really like being able to see how much on time the furnace and air conditioner has at any given day.

This thermostat is the best I've ever used so far. Would recommend it.

3.5 if i could... but doesnt deserve 4. It has and automatic "away setting" where if you leave it turns off the ac or turns it way up. I have animals at home and we were concerned why our house was 87!!! When we got back home and thought something was wrong with our ac. Turns out some location got turned on in the app and so when we left and we didnt set up the temps it just defaulted to like 87... we are in Florida. Thats freaking hot. And i have 2 big dogs... not the best. But overall it works well in general. Just beware if you have animals and stop that right away. Weve read of the animals it has killed from this happening.

Great thermostat. Easy to install and program, either as a learning thermostat or one you program yourself. It is great to be able to set temps from the app from wherever you are.

The NEST family of products have been the product(s) of choice for our household due to: the ease of setup, the learning thermostats and energy savings, the integration with Home Hubs (Wink, Micasa Verde) and the interface. I'd suggest the learning thermostat to anyone on the go, and to those that prefer to use the App on the phone (and not get off the couch).

Installation was easy. However, I ended up having to get an HVAC technician to install a common wire since I have a dual zone in my house with two Nest thermostats. Overall, I like the product and the use of the Nest app to control away from home.

Love being able to control the temperature when we are not at home, especially to double check ourselves to make sure we did turn it to the correct desired temp. Like the lock feature so no one can mess with temp.

Works great home/away mode auto tracks you by cell phone to save money. Set up was easy did have to call support which was awesome as well very friendly very helpful. Had 1 wire we needed to switch and.poof worked like a champ

Great smart thermostat! It’s my first one. My parents have one and always have issues with it. Not with this one. Had a very cold few weeks in my area (which only happens every 6-8 years) and it kept me warm and my bill down.

This is my second unit and not because the previous got damage just because the new house requires 2 units. Solid performance, no issues, and very easy to use and program.

The latest version of the Nest thermostat is a great improvement over my early version of the thermostat , I can see the temp and weather from a distance. The setting format is much easier. Installation was quick and easy.

I think the app is easier to use than the wall controls for setting up the schedule but for simply changing the temperature it is as simple as twisting the face of the dial.
