I bought this on sale and submitted a $100 rebate. That justifies the cost. The setup is very easy. I have a 2 wire system and it works as advertised.

I was looking for ways to make my home more efficient, especially since I'm not there majority of the day. This thermostat does exactly what it says it does, learns when you're there and not there and makes recommendations on heating and cooling. I have a noticed a savings in my energy bill. Can't wait to see how well it continues to be more efficient.

This is the only nest thermostat that works with most mini split ac units. You can also use it on the nest app unlike the cheaper model.
