This is a great thermostat. Works great with the app. Set the temp before you get home or from the couch.

It was super easy to set up. Its a great smart thermostat and learns what you like and adjust to those settings.

Unfortunately we got this one to work with a new minisplit I am putting in my studio, and they don't work with minisplits.

I originally purchased this product because my wife would get hot in the middle of the night and I got tired of going downstairs to turn down the thermostat and the Nest would allow me to control the a/c with my phone. Then I realized my gas provider gives me $100 rebate for using a smart thermostat. Then I started playing with the features like "Away" and noticed how I was using less energy in the "History" feature that monitors energy use. They say these thermostats pay for themselves in 2 years, but I have a feeling it will pay for itself in about 6-12 months.

I have 2 of these in my home. Love everything from Nest and this is no exception. Best thermostat on the market

This is the second Nest thermostat that I have purchased and installed. It is super easy to install and everything you need for most installations is included in the packaging. I love that the thermostat works with the Amazon Echo and Alexa app. I would highly recommend this thermostat to anyone. It looks high tech too, when mounted without the baseplate trim option.

Very easy to set up and very easy to use. This thing has a lot of functionality, so there is definitely a learning curve.

Device makes it easy to adjust the temperature using either your thermostat or phone.

Much better look and fell than the older version. The app is more informative.

Install was super easy. The setting up once installed is a different story. I’m still learning how to get the most out of it. The app is nice but the Away feature doesn’t always seem to work. I’ll update this review once my new energy bill arrives.

Worth every penny! We have seen our bills go down from this smart thermostat. It keeps the temperature in my den just right when I'm hibernating!

Love these things. I love the nest ecosystem. When paired with the Nest protect and nest cameras. In the event of a fire the Nest protects will sound the alarm also alerting you of where the danger is, simultaneously the Nest thermostat will turn off. You don't want to add air into a fire spread smoke into other parts of the home. In the instance of all that happening all of your best cameras will also start recording one even clip.

Roughly 10 years ago I put in a very advanced Honeywell system and Steam Humidification system. When Nest came out, i was very enthusiastic, but then discovered that it couldn't control my humidifier. So I have been waiting. With the recent round of rebates I decided to try - and yes indeed it does control my Humidifier. But now it is wait and see. I can't specify an actual percentage for the humidity on the granularity that I previously could. I don't see an option for Frost control - where it will adjust humidification based on outside temperature. The previous system also had three sensors in the house, whereas the Nest relies on itself and its Cloud data. I like the integration with my other devices and trust that it is using the data from all 9 Nest Smoke Detectors to really confirm when we are home and when we are out - but time will tell. Hoping.
