It is our first smart thermostat and I love that I can just tell Alexa to change it, or change it from my app while I am in bed! I gave it a 4/5 bc even though they label the wires for you and the app walks you threw installation, they have one wire connection wrong, so it was blowing heat when I first installed it. I had to google the problem and found an entire thread of people that were having the same issue. Luckily someone had posted what to switch around and it worked!

I honestly cannot tell what is the difference between the 2nd generation and the 3rd generation. The profile is slightly slimmer but nothing noticeable other than that.
