Was very easy to install and set up, wiring design made it simple. And the included plates meant no painting.

Purchased the Nest in July but waited until December to install. About two weeks after installation, the unit failed. Thank goodness it happened when both my wife and I were not out of town. Unfortunately, my wife was without heat for most of the day when temperature was below zero. Had someone from our local utility company come out who determined the Nest was not working and they reinstalled our old thermostat. Because I waited too long to install it, I was past Best Buy's timeline for returns, which I understand. I contacted Nest to request a refund or exchange, and they said they could do neither. Less thank six months since it was purchased!!! They said I would need to reinstall it and would need to try to trouble shoot it. That is so ridiculous, especially since we had a professional come to our house to diagnose it. At the least you would expect Nest to ask for it back and send a repaired or replacement unit. So in summary, our Nest failed us at the worst possible time and they won't stand behind their product.

The best thing about a Nest is when you are away, it goes into Econo mode which saves a fortune in heating and cooling costs

I loved the product but it was not compatible with the wiring for my A/C. Best Buy accepted the return with no problems.

Easy set up! And I've already saved 40$ on my first electric bill. Kind of creepy how it tracks your habits. But it's paying for itself.

I like it a lot. I don’t like how sometime the learning feature makes it go all out of wack. One day I won’t up to it being 55 inside (in the middle of summer)

Temp control more accurate than a regular thermostat. Also shows you how much you've used, which is helpful

Excellent Device. The entire Nest series is a must for any serious home owner. My bill has already been lowered with the AWAY feature.

The thermostat will save you money within the first month, and rebates are offered to save you more, within time it pays for itself.
