I like the idea, but the execution is poor. I had an earlier version and I liked it, but I think this one suffers from trying to do too much. It seems to have a mind of its own. It will seemingly randomly turn the thermostat up, even when we are home, so it gets hot in the summer time. It is almost like a nanny saying I don't care what you want, I want it to be something else. I DO want to conserve energy, but this thermostat goes places I never knew or intended it to go.

I feel a big change in the heating and cooling when I change the thermostat. It is very nice that I can manage from my phone!

I've been using nest products for years and they have always been excellent quality. Nest support is impeccable as well.

Was told by Best Buy and Google this would work great with my new heater/AC and heat pump, the unit did work, it is just after installing it my power consumption went from around 1300kVA to over 5000kVA and bill went from an average of 140 a month to 550 per month. I called Google support when I received my first power bill and it was so high, they checked all the settings, had me change some things and said it should be good, next month it was even higher, called again, had me change some things and said it should be fine now. Got my next electrical bill, was the highest ever and most usage ever, called again, pretty disgruntled at this point as this device that was supposed to save energy and money had now costed me over 1200 dollars in electrical bills and insane usage, I spent 6 hours on chat with support after which they concluded it was running auxiliary heat and my heat pump at the same time and that it was not compatible....this after 3 months, obviously I wasn't happy. I thought ok well how do i return the device, this was the best part, sorry sir you can't return the device, completely ridiculous, I had a documented case going back to the first month, I was told it was compatible over and over and their decision is too bad. Needless to say, I'm done buying any Nest or Google products period.

We purchased this to be a more temperature efficient & eco friendly house. It works as described. Like the sleek design.

This thing paid for itself over one summer in Phoenix. Geofencing really helps lower your monthly bill.

This is my 4th nest. I have three in one home and one in a rental. Having auto away in South Florida is important for saving costs.

I have been using this product line for years and I can say that it has been a pleasure to use. It is nice to take a vaction and enjoy the savings of having your HVAC system off and knowing that you can have the house ready for your return by using the app to remotely make your home comfy for your arrival.

This is my second thermostat from nest and have several nest products throughout my house. Well worth the money.

The nest looks really nice and has cool features but not totally worth the money. I feel like it has a mind of its own sometimes. But if you're into gadgets it's a must have.

I like that I can control it from my phone when I am not home.

This is our second house that we've replaced thermostats with Nest. Highly customizable to switch between A/C and heat. Terrific! Easy to install and even easier when Geek Squad does it.

This thermostat is a super product and very easy to use and set up. I live alone and it's saved me a lot of money since I don't have to heat or cool my home when I'm not there. I simply adjust the temp. a few hours before my return and my home is at the ideal comfort level. Not to mention it learns a lot of this on its own.

This a great product. Set on Eco, when I’m not home. The Nest will automatically change when I arrive.
