Nest broke my HVAC system

Owned for 11 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The nest thermostat broke my HVAC's outside unit in less than a year. I called the HVAC technician and he replaced a broken part in the outside unit which supposed to last longer. After replacing parts, the outside unit started making crank noises controlled by nest thermostat. Therefore, the technician recommended me to replace the nest thermostat as he experienced the same kind of issues with the nest thermostat in several homes. Based on his recommendation, I replaced the nest thermostat with Ecobee thermostat. Now, it's working just fine without any issues.

Its a tech product with an app where you can control it but I replaced a programmable thermostat with nest that wasnt as expensive than nest. Still tryin to learn why I paid over $200 for this product that I'm not impressed with yet

After I use it for couple weeks, it starts to know what I have done. Off when I am away. On before I got home. Is it the best? Not until you have own one of this.
