I love the ease of operating this thermostat. I can control our ac and heat with my phone. The installation process was fairly easy thanks to the display on the thermostat to let you know about the connections. I also think it looks nice on our wall.

From Honeywell Programmable to This. Just follow the Instructions: yellow wire to Y, green wire to G, red wire to RC, white wire to W1. If you have orange wire, put it in O, if you have blue wire put it in B. This set up if for Heat Pump in NW Florida. The O or B is to control the reversing valve. If you connect it to a wrong terminal, your unit will blow hot air when AC is running. Leave alone black wire, light brown wire or any other auxiliary wires not in use in your old thermostat like Honeywell. One of my Honeywell thermostats had 6 wires. The other one had 7. I leave alone black wires and light brown wire and did not connect them. Both of my Heat Pumps are working fine.

I love this thermostat. It's easy to install (does not require the c-wire as many other smart thermostat). Programing was straight forward. Love how easy it is to use and that its always learning from your schedule. App is also very easy to use and I love that i can use my Alexa (amazon echo) to control it. In the few months i had it, Ive been able to save on my bill. Yes, may be a little pricey but so are other smart thermostat that are out there and for the user friendliness and easy installation, I am very glad I decided on this one.

My thermostat has been installed about a month. I really had no problems with the install and linking to the app. Everything worked on the first try. It was surprising how heavy the thermostat felt before I mounted it. As far as the thermostat's operation goes, it seems to get confused whether I am home or not. My schedule varies A LOT, and I have NO consistency for a daily schedule. That said, I would say this is why my Nest is confused! If I had a M-F 8-5 schedule I would guess everything would be great. My favorite part of the thermostat is when I pass close to it, the analog clock shows up. I don't have A/C and don't turn on the heat, so I really just have an expensive, but nice looking clock. I did get this on sale, used a gift card, and received a utility rebate, so I got a good deal anyway.

Great thermostat. Just be sure to have a good Internet service. So convenient to have especially in a two story house and be able to monitor the internal temperature of the house

Looks very sleek, incredibly easy install and works flawlessly. Easy install took about 15 minutes

Installation is easy, just cut the power from the circuit breaker and remove the old thermostat and match the wires on the back of the old one to this new one, everything is plug and play. Install the wall plate and done! Works well with the app too and it's nice to be able to control the A/C system from anywhere. It also looks really good on the wall.

I love this device! I live in a very hot city and I travel a lot so I love the fact that you can turn it on a few hours before you get home so it can be nice and fresh when you get there!! The schedule feature is awesome! It’s learned my usual schedule and when I’m home it’s always thinking ahead of me. Very quick and easy set up. I also got a $75 check from my gas company as a rebate for installing!! Great purchase!

Easy to use. Easy to set up. Love the display and turning feature of the side metal. Selections are simple and not an overly complicated menu. I also enjoy that I can control the temperature through my phone. It has been a noticeable difference with our electric bill as well. Very high quality product for sure.

This is the simplest and most user friendly thermostat out there! Connect a few wires and along with the mounting bracket and the thermostat walks you through every aspect to make sure everything is working correctly. I have one upstairs and on downstairs. Both can be accessed through a smart phone which is awesome if the family is up or downstairs.

Love the fact that not only can I remotely control my AC/Heating from my smart phone from anywhere but that it ha great features as showing me my usage history outside and inside temperature along with humidity. This thing is definitely a smart thermostat. Out of the box this thing looks like a jewel. Nicely made. I recommend this thermostat for sure.

Great product I use it from anywhere in the city I get to control the climate at my home. It tracks your daily usage and has a memory on your daily routine. Will greatly recommend.

Had new heat pump installed and the thermostat that the HVAC guy installed didn’t accurately sense temperature and keep house at desired temp. My nephew recommended I try the nest thermostat since I already had other nest products, so I did. Seems to be working great. I have a dual fuel system and it was easy to set up and program settings. I also purchased sensors to place in other areas of house so I could better regulate temps upstairs and down. The nest learning thermostat lets you add sensors where the regular thermostat does not.

I was worried that setting this up would be difficult, but luckily the install guide was very helpful. The thermostat looks great, and works like a charm. There was a short period after the initial charge session where it read a little hotter than the air actually was, but it did cool down quickly.

I purchased the Next gen 3 thermostat on a Sunday morning from Best Buy and it was delivered THE SAME DAY for free! Wow! Installation was super simple. Luckily I had an extra "C" wire not being used so I was able to attach that to the thermostat and on the furnace board to power the unit. Setup was easy and I loved how the screwdriver even had a magnet end to hold the screws a bit. App setup was smooth. No issues connecting to our wireless. Only thing that hung me up for a couple minutes was not knowing how to "select" the options one the screen. Turning the dial was ok, but I learned from a video online that to select you press around the sides of the display. Ah!!! That could have been better communicated maybe with a sticker on the device. System is so smart. It can run the fan a bit after the AC turns off to help push out remaining cool air. Doing the schedules on the app is pretty straightforward. It can give alerts if temp is too high or low and change the temps accordingly. This is going to be awesome.

I had the 1st generation, which had no problem for as long as I had (until we moved, about 10 yrs). And I recently have purchased the 3rd generation thermostat for my new home. As I expected, very pleased with the impeccable design and performance. Very easy to install and configure. compatible google home.

Works great! Nice to be able to change temperature from the app. A lot of effort went into the setup instruction to make installation simple. Could have had better user instructions for the menu system when not using the app.

I will start that I have a little background knowledge on building computers and understanding different types of wirings, however with hvac, I don’t know what color wire does what. I would say if you are on the fence of buying and you’re installing yourself like I did, snap a photo of the wiring. You can then reference your current thermostat and plug in the values into the google nest site. There are many guides and even after is you messed up a little, the on screen prompts will guide you. As for building quality, it’s a very well made product (same attention to detail and boxed as an apple product) After installed the prompts guide you and super easy to program modes and schedules. I feel 2-3 months this nest will pay for itself as I’m in the 400 to 700 a month in electricity bills and most is from the hvac that is first off would run when I didn’t want it do with a bad old thermostat and I think the blower unit trips way to often. I’m writing this after two days but I can already feel the fans kick in ONLY when needed. Also I love the remote app to set and switch off when you are away. I’m amazed by thisthis nest product!
