I love the learning that the nest is known for. Installation was so easy. It even came with a screwdriver! Set-up was a breeze. The detailed instructions on how to connect the wires was seamless. I couldn't be more thrilled! And did I mention I can now turn down the AC when I land at the airport so that my house is cool when I walk in the door? BONUS! The only con is the price. These aren't cheap. However, check with your local electrical provider that might have rebates associated with this. Mine gave a $75 rebate for connecting it to my utility account. And supposedly they will give an annual $25 credit for as long as it is connected - essentially paying for itself even if you don't account for electrical savings that this will supposedly provide "learning" our habits.

This is the way to go. Easy to manage, many features, looks good, and can be monitored from anywhere, Highly recommended.

I bought the nest several months ago. The installation was easy as is overall use. It's nice to be able to adjust and check on the temperature when I'm away. The online rebate came about a month after I submitted it.

I love that once installed you can remotely set the heating or cooling. We use this for our vacation home to adjust the temperature within the house based on when we plan to visit the house or if the house is empty. The only issue I have with this thermostat is the installation. The instructions and guidance on what wires should be connected based on what system you have is designed for a professional installer and not your average home owner. I have three of these thermostats and each thermostat I installed I had problems with. after many hours the first two I was able to figure out and get working. the third one I needed to hire and HVAC professional to figure out. Great product...not easy to install!

I did a lot of research on these smart thermostats before purchasing this style. I have a heat only boiler that has 5 zones, and this particular one, was the only one that was pretty much assured that it would work with my system. It is a 2 wire system, with no common wire. I was able to hook these up with no issues what so ever! They charge fine, and there was no need for the extra adapter that could be purchased seperately, to hook to the boiler. So far, I have installed 5 of these thermostats, to upgrade our old school Honeywell mercury thermostats. Do your research, but this thermostat is wonderful! I love that I can control my thermostat through the Nest or Google Home app, so no worrying if you leave, and wonder if you remembered to turn down the heat. I also have them installed in our rental units, and I can make sure that the tenant didn’t leave the heat on 70, and leave for days or leave for a 12 hour shift. You can control all the thermostats from one app, so it is wonderful! I would highly suggest these thermostats for anyone that want to make their home a little smarter.

I can honestly say without a doubt that this product is worth every dime it costed. Setting up was easy as well as downloading the app. It doesn't get any easier, you can go through the programming process or just let Nest do it's thing by learning your routine. Either way you can't go wrong. Because of my family's irregular routine I went ahead and did the weekly programming but, it's definitely great to use the app to regulate the temperature whenever no one is home and the system is still running. I simply just hit the "away" option and the system turns off until it is required to start cooling again. Overall, I have no regrets and that $100 rebate from the gas company definitely helped in deciding to buy. Highly recommend!

Great product as I love the way it looks as well as being able to control away from home . Would not say this is life changing but it does what it is supposed to do and was super easy to install

I've had this thermostat for about 3 weeks now and I love it. The install is so easy to set up and they also have a step by step direction online video to help also on Nest website. After the install, the interface is so easy to navigate. I love that their is an app for my phone to access at home and away from home. I'll be sitting in the bed and don't feel like getting up, pull out my phone and turn my air conditioner on. Simple. This is worth every bit of $200, that's the price I got it for and even the utility company has a rebate for it also depending on your area. I do wish that it was able to section off air in different floors, instead of buying another thermostat to do so. But all in all, this Nest Thermostat is amazing. I'm so glad I bought it. Even my 6,8,& 9 year old daughters know how to work it, it's that simple.

I love this thermostat. It was super easy to install. I was concerned it wouldn't work without the fifth wire that other smart thermostat required. The install guide was easy to use. Works great with my Amazon Echo.

I replaced an older standard thermostat with the Nest 3G. The instructions were pretty straight forward but I did need to call their customer support line to get some help with a configuration question. As luck would have it the answer to my question was given as I listened to their hold information so I never had to actually speak with a support agent. We've been really happy with the way this product works. It's really nice to be able to check and make changes using my phone over the internet. The thermostat also learns your preferences and can make temp adjustments automatically based on time of day or whether you are home or away. It can also be configured to show you different types of information on the large, easy to read display.

Excellent. Installs so quick and no need for great expertise. Easy to use, even for someone like me, that knows nothing about electrical installations or how things should work. A great energy-saver with great features and greets me when I arrive home. Also love the scheduler feature as I can easily schedule the temp I would like. I was a little skeptical at the begging, but now I can say: Great great great! :D Would recommend!

No. No they don’t. My entire home is Nest, from perimeter cameras around my home to a Hello doorbell camera and Nest Yale lock. Each works phenomenally and the thermostat is no different. The install went without a hitch and took me probably no more than 15 minutes. YouTube has a very clear and thorough video which makes the install a total breeze. Once you’re up and running, the thermostat walks you through the setup process step by step without any hiccups. The Nest UI is extremely easy to understand and navigate. And to top it off, this thermostat is beautiful and looks very stylish yet elegant. I love Nest!

Installation was super easy and I love having the ability to control the temperature of the thermostat from ANYWHERE. I also love the learning and efficiency of the system.

I was leary about this purchase and set up. But I installed it myself and it works. Very very easy installation. The directions were so user friendly. I love this thermostat. It senses when someone is near and lights up and shows the temperature in the room. I love the programmable features. I can set the temp in the house from anywhere in the world. I would definitely recommend this product.
