Great thermostat. Very easy to install and program. Lots of features, Highly recommended!

Most people are interested in the Nest Thermostat when you discuss features. Which there are a lot of. But there is a hesitation when they see the price. Understandable. After two months I do have to say it is worth the investment. Living in Oklahoma I set it in Heat/Cool mode and haven't touched it since. I set the upper and lower temps and it handles it. Does a better than fair job keeping my house comfortable without my intervention. It knows when I'm home and when I'm away. And to be honest, I'm really impressed when how well the 'learning' part of this thermostat works. Why only four stars? Let's be honest, price. For most of us $250 is a lot to spend for a thermostat. Even if it does do some very smart things. Would I purchase another one in the future? Probably. Would I replace my current one with the next new version? Probably not. It would have to be pretty compelling new features to do that. For right now it seems to do a good job managing the climate of my home.

Works great, like how easy it is to use, wifi works great

I had it installed in barely 30 minutes, including the online setup. We previously had a programmable thermostat but it was alwys a challenge to remember how to reporgram the night time turn down and put it in hold mode when we arose or staid awake outside the regular hours. We are frequently out of town a lot, and when a relative forgot to switch the programmable from cool to heat in the season change, I knew it was time for a change. The new system links to my simplisafe alarm so the temperature is automatically turned up/down to my preset preferences when the alarm is put in away mode as well.

Easy to install. Works very well. Learns well and is very customizable. Easy to read settings/current temp indoor and outdoor. Can be controlled from thermostat or from app. I'm VERY pleased with my purchase. Based on the improvement over my previous thermostats, I expect significant energy savings. My only issue is with the price. I was able to get them on sale, but the retail price is too high, in my opinion.

This was a great buy here, the energy company was offering a rebate for those who bought and self installed so I decided I'd go for it. It was an easy install and simple to setup and looks really good on the wall. Now that Ive had it installed for over a month, my bill has gone down and I hope to keep seeing it that way. Im able to adjust my thermostat from my phone so I never forget. Ive even installed the Nest app so when my phone leaves the house the A/C goes into ECO mode. Im really happy with NEST and I wish Id have done it earlier.

After much research, I decided to pull the trigger on the Nest thermostat. I was debating between the Nest and EcoBee, but chose the Nest after many reviews stating the ease of installation and better smart features. For the installation, it took me maybe 10 minutes to have it installed and running. The Nest website has a tool to tell you if your system is compatible which is very helpful. Once you confirm it is compatible, you pull off the old thermostat, mount the new base and hook up the wires, and then pop on the Nest. Set up is very easy & it works like a charm. It had already "learned" our schedule after 2 days.

I had been eyeing the Nest for quite some time, but I couldn't really justify the purchase. I bought during a Black Friday sale and am really glad I did. It was easy to install in place of my existing thermostat. I even had the wires crossed and it walked me through the process of getting them in the right setting. After using it for a month or two I've noticed that it's started to notice my patterns and adjusting automatically (as stated it should do). While I haven't been able to compare my bills to see if it's saving money, I do like the functionality and look. I'm happy with my purchase.

Replacement for original Nest 1 that I had. Works great, bigger screen. The only thing is if you are upgrading from the Original Nest to this one you have to change the connection plate. The connection point on the old Nest was rectangle, the new one is more oval shape. It was an easy replacement, Just took a picture of where the wires where connected at and placed them in the same spots on the new plate.

Awesome thermostat slick design easy to use and easy to install would definitely buy again

We did not program it for a few days - it is amazingly simple to operate as a manual thermostat. Spouse was uneasy about programming as it only has two controls: click and twist. But they got it programmed for the week in a couple of minutes. It looks great, then lights up with the temp when you walk into the room: walk closer and it also displays the temp setting. Comes with trim plates: if you remove your larger thermostat and the paint is a different shade behind it, you can install with a trim plate to cover up the paint difference. Very well designed product.

I'm not an electrician but my NEST thermostat was so easy to install I did myself, love the way it looks and the fact i can control wireless is a plus.

This thermostat is amazing. The instructions for installation are very easy. It only took me about 20 minutes to install it. Looks great. The interface is very user friendly. The thermostat runs checks to make your system is working properly and then learns your habits based on your settings for a few days to save you money. You can also control the thermostat from your smart device via the app and integrate into your compatible smart hub such as wink. A report is sent to you via email monthly to let know your energy consumption. I highly recommenced this thermostat and could not be happier.

We bought this thermostat because our current one kept fluctuating our house temperature without us even changing it. So far this has been one of our best purchases ever for our home! It’s smart learning technology is great and it learns so quick. Also, we love that we can change the house temperature from our phone and review at what time we choose for the house to be cooler or warmer. Great investment if you’re on the fence about buying the Nest Thermostat. 5 stars from our family! (Installment was a breeze as well)

I bought the Nest Thermostat because of the look, the simple interface, and the reviews that talked about the flexibility and savings that have been realized by using it. I am not sure how much savings I'll see since I don't have AC, but I've been pretty pleased with it thus far. Getting it up and running on my iPhone app was simple and the installation was super easy, too. The hardest part was just repairing my wall because I didn't want to use the square faceplate that came with the unit. My only complaint is that I thought it would work with Apple's Home app, and thus far, I've not been able to make that happen. That's the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5. If I would have known this, I probably would have purchased a different unit, but that has more to do with how I want to run my house than it does the thermostat itself. All in all, it is an awesome unit and unless you're trying to do a whole home integration using Apple Home, then I highly recommend it.

The savings are in the programming, and there aren't many opportunities to save in my house since my wife works in a home office and is pretty much always home. The thermostat does a great job of learning your preferences in the first week and then creating a schedule based on that. I think its a no brainer that a thermostat should be a device you can check up on while you're away from home, so I find this to be the perfect solution. Its also cool to make minor adjustments and see the leaf (meaning less energy usage). I also like that you can see how many hours of heating/cooling were needed the day before.

Smart thermostat connects to wifi, I love that I can make adjustments through my phone and not have to walk across the house too.

I have a very different kind of schedule than most folks. It did take some time for nest to learn it and my preferences. Also being able to use my phone and Alexa to work with nest is very good. I no longer have to be in a long shift and worry oops did I leave the a/c on. I am only slightly handy and easily installed nest myself. The instructions and online pics and support make it all very simple. The large face plate for the wall came in very handy and covered all the other thermostat changes made over the years in my older home. So no other patching or painting was required.

This product has only been up in my home for 2 days and I’m loving it!! It was so easy to set up and very user freiendly! App is easy to use as well!!
