Simple, helpful

I can connect to it from work and turn it on so my house is nice and cool when I get home and I can set a schedule for when I'm home so the ac will turn up or down automatically as the day goes on

Our family schedules change so pre-programmed routines don't always work. We can also control more features of the HVAC system, such as fan settings. Install went fairly smoothly.

I don’t think it really has saved us energy costs because we keep our thermostat so low but it’s nice to be able to adjust the temperature from bed on cold mornings. It’s also quite stylish.

It claims to be smart and can adjust the temperature in the room, however, I always feel the temperature to be lower than I wanted, although I adjust manually every day, it still sets the temperature low.

We understand your concern about the lower temperature reading, and the first thing we recommend is to start by checking the location of the thermostat, as it may impact the accurate temperature reading. Here are a couple of troubleshooting steps to help isolate the issue further, as well as identifying that the thermostat is not impacted by external factors:
- Restart the thermostat by pressing the display until it shows a black screen and wait until it's back up and running. A restart should be sufficient to re-calibrate them and show an accurate value.
- Check if the Sunblock feature is on or off. Open Nest App > Select the thermostat > Tap Settings > Look for Nest Sense > Turn off/on Sunblock
- Nest Thermostats in the U.S. and Canada are typically installed on a wall. Check for proximity of the thermostat to: air vents / electrical outlets / appliances / plumbing (hot water pipes) / warm air in the wall behind the thermostat. This may also affect the reading for the temperature.
- Some wireless access points cause the Nest Learning Thermostat’s wifi chip to overheat, which affects the thermostat’s detected ambient temperature. We suggest disconnecting the network for 24 hours, and monitoring the temperature.
Different brands of thermostats and thermometers have different ways of measuring and reading the ambient temperature. Normally, a temperature difference of 1-2°F can be negligible, but if it is greater than that, and should the steps we highlighted not identify the issue, then we may need to have a look at what may be causing it and work on improving your experience. Didn’t realize how bad our old thermostat was. Upstairs is cooling like it did when the unit was brand new! Easy to set up and control. Highly recommend for energy savings.

Itvteult regulates the temps so well, and even recognizes when nobody is hi e to keep the temps lower. I live being able to control it remotely from my phone!

Best learning thermostat

It is also extremely accurate at knowing whether someone is in the house or not and when to adjust the temperature. It also has a very easy to use app.

It has some very cool features like turning down the heat when I leave the house and turning back up when I return home through their app.

Automatically turns the heat on in the a.m. and a/c in the afternoon. Didn't know my system was wired that way. Can sync with Google Home or Alexia and to turn on and off if necessary.

I'm able to link the Nest with my ATD security system and Google Home. The device knows when I leave the house and adjusts the thermostat accordingly.

I finally made the purchase and I am so glad u did! Installation was super easy, the controls are amazing! If you are looking to reduce you energy consumption this is the device for you.

Good - but just the beginning

However there is one thing I want to address here. Notifications. I like how Nest offers an Auto-Away feature based on your phone's location. However it would give me a peace of mind that the feature is actually working by sending me notifications when the status of my AC has changed (from Home to Auto-Away and vice versa).

It was very intuitive to install, and with the app on my phone, it is great to monitor or even change from another room. Getting the rebate from my local energy company is a great bonus as well.

Easy to control the thermostat with the application. The best feature I would say is the Eco mode.
