Installation and setup was pretty easy (I'm an engineer) and they work very well. I did have a problem with one unit that I haven't yet resolved. It sees my local WiFi and is logged into it, but will not communicate with the app on my iPhone even the the other three work well. I'm out-of-state for some of the holidays and I can see the temps on 3 of the 4, and they all went into Eco mode automatically, lowering the temperatures to save energy. Probably because the motion sensors don't sense anyone there.

It is NOT, the newest gen thermostat looks more gunmetal-ish than pure black...ended up having to buy 2 of these just so I can have the same finish for upstairs and downstairs.

Our house has felt very comfortable. I really like the eco settings that help you use the device more efficiently. I also really like the home/away feature that responds to your phone's location and adjusts the temperature automatically when you leave the house or come home. It makes me want to purchase some of the other nest products!
