This is my 2nd one. Simple and easy to use. Installation was very quick and easy. Love the app! Looks beautiful on the wall.

Easy to install, great step by step directions and the app makes it so easy for the wiring. We decided against using the mounting plate in favor of installing directly on the wall which required a bit of hole filling and painting, but the extra time and effort was worth it because it looks sleek. Once it was up and running it was just a case of looking over the settings and customizing it for our heating and cooling requirements. It has been learning our preferences and really is great. I love that I can turn it on or off or change the temperature via voice, we have it linked to a Google Home, or through the app on my phone.

Upgraded 2 older thermostats with 2 of these from Nest. Seamless install, less than 30 mins from setup to install for both. Novice when it comes to heating/cooling but the instructions are easy to understand and took all the mystery out of the install. Worked perfectly with both of heating and cooling systems. Love the ability to control with the app. Savings has been consistent from the beginning, even with changing seasons our monthly bill continues to go down. Functionality is perfect and they look great too. My only complaint was the temp was measured only at the thermostat while noticeably different from room to room. Nest finally released the remote sensors in April which I added 3 of them each thermostat in distant locations. Now I’ve got all the info needed to make any adjustments. No complaints!

We love it. Easy to install, easy to learn how to use it and it learns the way you like the temperature in your house during day and night. Has the away option that is a plus. You can change temperature from your smartphone. I'll definitely recommended it

This device has been operational for about a week and has very quickly learned our routine. I compared this thermostat to some other learning thermostats on the market and am very please with this purchase. The appearance is hands down second to none in my opinion. The connectivity with our smart home voice assistant is a very worth while feature alone. Telling a small speaker to change the temperature or ask the current is very handy. Last and probably the most significant upgrade - HUMIDITY READING! I had no clue the importance of maintaining a healthy humidity in the house and this device keeps good measure of the current. Have not yet received our first utility bill after the installation of this device, but the way it has been running/not running the furnace - I feel that it will be energy saving as it claims.

It took me a long time to finally take the plunge and spend this kind of money on a thermostat, but when the local power company offered a substantial credit for installing one, I made the made the move and bought two of them (1 upstairs and 1 downstairs). I figured installation would be a complicated ordeal, but I couldn't have been more wrong. It took about 15 minutes to install and another 15 minutes to set up. I'm amazed at how useful these "little computers" are and how they've helped lower my utility usage in such a short time. It "learns" your preferences and senses when you're "away" from home, then adjusts the temperature accordingly. There's no setting up a daily "schedule", because it "learns" how you like the temperature over time. The phone app (and web log-in) allows me to monitor and control from anywhere in the world. This is a great product! I shouldn't have waited.

After reading dozens of smart thermostat reviews, product instructions, even taking to a furnace guy, I was convinced a “C” wire was required for these devices to work. That was a deal breaker for me. But our son, who’s installed NEST units in his previous and current home said, “not true”. So I took a leap and bought this latest version at BB. My son first walked me through the compatibility test. Our existing HVAC wiring passed the NEST Test!! Then he guided me through the install via phone which took only minutes! Wow! This stylish little device is amazing. As someone who constantly tweaks our TV room temp, I can now do that with my phone. Absolutely brilliant!!!

When I bought this item I was a little bit concerned with the installation since it said it was a 30 minutes process, but honestly I did it in 10 to 15 minutes and I am not a handy man nor a geek. The NEST comes well packaged, includes all you might need to install it and it has a beautiful screw driver. Gives you a lot of information and the application for apple or android users, allows you to control and monitor your house thermostat. It is also convenient for those moments when you're really lazy and don't want to walk to your thermostat to change the temperature, you simply do it in your app. But the best part is that it learns from your habits and you can program it.. I live in miami and there is nothing better than have my NEST turn the AC on so when I arrive the temperature is nice without wasting money leaving the AC working all day. Great investment.

This is the fourth 3rd generation Nest that we have purchased (2 for our home and two as housewarming presents). Being able use our phone app to check our house temperature when we are away on vacation (we have pets), turn on/off the air conditioner/heater when we are too lazy to get up from bed, turning off/on the unit when we left the house for the day to save on electricity costs, hooking it up to our Google Home so we can just tell the system to turn on or adjust the temperture while cooking or watching a movie.... the NEST has been a great purchase that is well worth the cost. The units are usually $249 but we paid $199 during the Black Friday sale. On top of that, we qualified for a $50 rebate through our electricity company. My husband installed the units and said that it was super easy.

This is a real intelligent thermostat. It senses if you are at home or away and adjusts temperatures based on your use (it learns your preferences for day time and night time temperatures as you use it). This saves money by utilizing energy in the most efficient way. Installation was a breeze. I must admit I'm an advanced do-it-yourselfer. I still think it's pretty simple to install over a standard thermostat connection if you follow all directions properly. A suggestion is to take a picture of the original connection and then try to install this in case you forget which wire goes to which socket. Overall, once installed, it not only gives you the ability to control temperature with your app from anywhere, it also helps save energy by optimizing temperature in the home when not around. Highly recommend this to everyone.

The Nest thermostat was a very simple install. The instructions made it simple and clear on how to handle the installation. Syncing the system up to my home network was simple as well. It is nice to be able to control the thermostat from the Nest App. I knocked off a star for the price. Yes, the system is clean and functions very well, but in the end it was still a bit hard to make an easy purchase out of it.

So glad I decided to go with nest. It learned my desired temperature and adjust automatically! Control from my phone so that I could turn air down or heat up when I'm leaving work and it's nice and cozy when I walk in. My dog is home all day, so I did set my eco settings to the best suited for her. I love the control I have. The auto heat or cool is also a great setting. I live in east Tennessee and for a week or two it was freezing at night and miserably hot during the day! It was also so easy to install! Pay attention though if you have a heat pump. You'll need to use the heat pump wire set up.

The learning thermostat is energy saving and easy to operate. It works with you and how your daily activity is. It’s wifi so you can control it from anyware. It’s very easy to wire up my system Use two wires one for heat and one for the 24 volts it took approximate 15 min to install. Just be sure If you need a c wire (common) to ensure you have adequate volts to turn on your heating pumps. If you don’t have adequate power it won’t work but you can buy a 24v adapter to plug into your outlet and into the thermostat. If it dont turn on with the two wires all you need is that 24 v adapter.

Looks good, easy to use and was installed quickly by Geek Squad team. It identified the issue with the electric circuit so that removed the guesswork and potential exploitation by HVAC companies - i could hire professional HVAC team to come and fix my electric circuit. Can also easily control with smartphone. Cant speak to learning mode yet - not enough time with it.

Works great with the app on my phone. I travel for extended periods of time, and I feel better having this in my house so I am able to see what temps and climate is, inside and outside my home. This is a truly fantastic product. I had no issue installing (replaced an old 1990s digital thermostat) and it has a sleek design. Even my HVAC repairman was impressed when he saw it on my wall. My only complaint, is that the "Smart" feature is not extremely smart. It would randomly turn up the heat when I didn't want it to, or turn itself down when I didnt want it to. This feature is easily disabled.

This has worked wonders for me since I've had it. (About 3 months). You're fooling yourself if you don't buy this. The fact that it learns your environment says enough. Oh, and you can control it from your phone. It knows when you leave your home and sets it for "away" to save more energy. If I had 4 thumbs it give it a 4 thumbs up.

I was worried about installing this technology but it was a breeze to complete and looks great. Easy to connect other members of the family to the account so we all have control whenever someone goes away.
