We bought this to replace our older programmable thermostat. It has worked great with so much functionality. It has so many different settings and is easy to install & use (not to mention it's good look). We are waiting on our first bill for the season but I am sure it will be better than before.

Bought this for our lake condo. Allows me to manage and monitor temperatures remotely. Very happy with the Nest thermostat - beautiful aesthetic, easy to install and use, and with powerful connected experience. Only thing missing is remote temperature and humidity sensors that integrate with the app.

This thermostat is easy to install. The Nest website has a video you can watch that will lead you through each step. Watch the full video first. Then watch a step at a time, pause the video after the video of the step, perform the step, and repeat until installed and set up. I think someone that has never installed a thermostat can install this thermostat by watching the video (and it comes with a screw driver to facilitate installation). The video also walks you through the steps to set up the connection to your wifi network and settings. The auto away feature is very helpful in not running your unit if you are away. The internet and app set up was a breeze. I can control two units from my phone app. If you have been away for a while, you can check the temp before you head home and turn the unit on if you'd like to cool things down before you get home. There is a monitoring feature so you can see how long your unit ran each day. It is so easy to install and easy to use. There are no buttons and switches and settings that other thermostats have that can be intimidating. The auto learn feature is really cool too.

Works great! I purchased this to upgrade in my home and save on my electric bill. It has been helpful, was easy to install, and easy to use. I had a Nest thermostat previously as well as a Honeywell smart thermostat and preferred the Nest one overall.

Our new thermostat was so easy to install and works great! I love how simple it is to make adjustments, change settings and I downloaded the app for my phone too-so I can do it all from there as well. It also tells you when you're saving energy which is awesome!! Our bills have been lower even over these hot months.

I just got around to installing my Nest, firs tit was very easy. It started to learn it's enviroment from the moment power was supplied. I just can not believe how it works. When it knows I'm away it dials back the temp and as soon as it senses I'm home it starts to make things cozy. AAA rating from me. ENJOY !

Really easy installation and works great! Love the app feature and the fact that you can control everything right from your smart phone, especially when you're not home. It's starts learning your patterns within a few days and continues to adjust it self accordingly, as it learns your scheduled even more. Love it so far!

Easy to install! Works great. I can control from my phone easily. I would suggest buying the Google Thermostat Sensors if you have a 2 story house.

I'm giving this 5 stars because it's everything it says it would be: 1) Easy installation (even if you aren't into playing with electricity) 2) Most of the smart thermostats required a C-wire. This one did not. 3) It connected with Alexa and the Nest app with minimal fuss 4) There were great rebates that made it worthwhile (check with your electric company and others) So here's the problem. My family is abusing the heater now. I've always been pretty frugal about when I turn on the heater, but now because it can be done remotely; the heater comes on when they get out of bed, when they go into the shower when they think they might be cold, etc. Normally, the heating would be off during these times. So it works as advertised, but I doubt I'm going to save any money on heating.

The product was open box but had everything in it. It works better than I expected and I hooked it up myself. It has started saving me on electric bills (I think by lowering my winter temp to 65 when I am not home all day). I can also adjust it before I leave work to find my house warm and toasty and it remembers and learns the routines. I would recomend it highly.

Very impressed with the Nest. So much so I have equipped my whole house with them. They are already saving me money and I love the fact you can control the AC over the internet. It knows when you leave the house and you can select away mode to save energy. Build quality is excellent and the wiring is simple.

I have 2 of the 3rd generation Nest thermostats which I purchased from Best Buy as I am Elite Plus member and Best Buy had a great $50 gift card rebate on each as well making the purchase a great deal. I was able to replace my upstairs and downstair thermostats in literally 5-10 minutes each, no need to call for technical support at any time. As for the product, it took about a week for each unit to "learn" our regular patterns and adjust to times we are not home and it has a sensor which detects motion to verify if we are at home. Additionally, it was very easy to connect to the internet, set-up, and set my schedules. Another great feature is the App on my Apple Smart phone, I can manually control the units from anywhere, anytime... As an example, we were away all day and I awoke the Nest thermostats from their away mode about 30 minutes before I arrived back home, our house was at a great temperature when we arrived without having to wait for it to warm up after we got back. Basically, it saves so much energy incorporating the Away feature it will pay for itself faster then I expected...

I love this thermostat. From it’s modern and attractive appearance to it’s features and ease if use, you can’t go wrong with this thermostat. Through a simple to use and intuitive app, setup and use is simple. You have several options on how to setup this thermostat to how you want to use it.

I just love Google products like this. As a hardware, ease of use is great and I enjoy having the app functionality to go along with the hardware. Very easy to control the temperature of my house at the dial or using the Google Home app. I also have a lot of tracking data that I can utilize to better understand temperature control for my home. I think the only downside was the smart learning, which would essentially take into consideration of your manual settings and try to create a schedule based on those patterns. It ended up raising my electric/gas bill progressively until I realized what was happening. Other than that, great product!

It was super easy to replace our old Honeywell programmable thermostat with the nest. The whole thing took about 30 minutes to install and then another 10 minutes to connect with the app. Google even provides a really nice screw driver with assorted tips, so you might not even need any additional tools. Also included is a rectangular wall plate to help cover up larger holes left by your old thermostat, but you can also install without the plate for a cleaner look. The "learning" part is nice, but really, it's just really nice to be able to turn on the AC or heat before we get home or from bed. If you have a Google Home device, you can also tell Google to turn on the AC/heat for you.

So I purchased the nest a little over a month ago. The install was easy, instructions were easy to follow and I'm not a big handy man when it comes to wiring but nest made it easy. I turned it on and snap, it worked! I was happy. A month later the system started giving me an error message on the thermostat screen. I called nest and they walked me through the troubleshoot. So, they determined I needed a common wire install because my old thermostat ran on batteries and the nest doesn't so it's started having a power sharing issue. The good news is nest will reimburse me for the HVAC tech to come out and install. I haven't received my check yet so that's why I'm rated this product 3 stars. The nest when working is efficient and modern looking. If all goes well I'll look into the nest camera.

It was easy to install (box contains a set of screws and screwdriver). App has some awesome features, lets you control the temperature you want from anywhere. Once the thermostat configures 'your' preference of cooling and heating, it will just do what you tell it to do. Very happy with the product.

I know the ecobee has better reviews, but love my Nest and is my 3rd purchase (different homes, not them breaking). 3rd generation has some nice features. Easy to use and looks great - elegantly packaged with easy installation guide. I'm struggling with working out geocaching so it switched to economy mode when I leave (based on my phone location), but probably more user than device..... I've mounted to a slate backing purchased from Amazon, looks very nice.
