My upstairs and downstairs have different A/C units. The upstairs thermostat is in a loft. This means the temp near that thermostat is regulated by both the upstairs and downstairs units. If the downstairs is running it will cool the loft somewhat. The result is that the upstairs bedrooms can end up with temperatures vastly different than the loft especially if the doors are shut. This thermostat allowed the hook up of a wireless, battery powered temp sensor. This small puck can sit on a shelf in a bedroom and the thermostat can be configured to use it for temp sensing. No more freezing cold or blazing hot bedrooms!! This thing is easy to use, programmable, adjustable from your phone, will remind you to change your filters … on and on. It can be set to go into eco mode if you are away, it can learn your routines, it can help save you money, it looks pretty cool and nstall was a breeze. I have this and the Nest E and love them both. If you want to feel like you are in the future then check this thermostat out!

I have a 4-wire connection to my furnace. The 3rd gen of Nest Learning Thermostat will enable 4-wire connection (missing C wire) with no issue at all. You don't need the wire converter to connect to your furnace. Easy to DIY (i spent times watching multiple youtube videos on how to) and it is very easy to install as long as you know how to "switch the circuit off before you do it". Switch off at the circuit breaker panel or the furnace switch on/off.

Easy to use and simple to install. This is the third house i have used these in. I prefer them over any of the other smart thermostats. They look good and are the ones i like the most

I had a single nest thermostat in my past house and was quite impressed with the operation and detail provided by the interconnected software. I like that the unit is connected to the Internet via a wireless connection and that the thermostat is viewable and adjustable from any source with an Internet connection. Simply log in and review and/or adjust. My new home has 3 HVAC units each controlled by a Nest thermostat. Together they do a phenomenal job of controlling the temperature throughout the 2 levels of the house and are doing so quite economically.

I recently added the Nest Thermostat to my home and so far I love it! The installation was super easy! I watched the video and was up and running in less than 30 minutes. I'm still learning the features and playing with the options but couldn't be happier. I love that if my schedule changes I can turn up the heat in advance of my arrival so the house is warm and toasty when I get there. With the help of a discount coupon and the $75 rebate it made it easier to digest the overall cost. I have also connected the Nest thermostat to my Echo Dot and can voice control it as well. If you are upgrading your home to include smart devices, the Nest is a great addition.

Smart thermostat connects to wifi, I love that I can make adjustments through my phone and not have to walk across the house too.

This is one of the best investments that I have made. It is a sleek design that will go with any home. It does more then any normal thermostat of it's kind. Easy to install and easy to understand.

I initially loved the Nest. Easy to install, sleek design, nice phone interface. Then it stopped working during one of the coldest days of the year due to a software issue. What if nobody had been home??? Back to non-smart thermostats for safety.

I did a lot of research over the last couple years and decided a nest thermostat would be the one I would install once I was ready to upgrade. I already had Honeywell products, but upon review, the nest met my needs not to mention it looked better. Installation was a breeze. Easy step by step directions as well as the tools needed. Set up was again easy to follow. Took a few minutes, but worth it. The nest works great and some how seems to be heating the house better than my old thermostat but runs the heater less. Not sure how, but I am amazed. Only thing I wish it had was a way to communicate with my alarm to use that to set the away mode (Eco mode)

Bought one kore of these…this time for the third floor and they are still just as good and as easy to install as before! Clean look, super easy app install and all connected seamlessly. Couldnt ask for anything better.

This thermostat was very easy to install once I confirmed it was compatible with my current wiring. The ease of use, ability to control remotely, and the reporting make this purchase well worth it.

The Nest Learning Thermostat is a great addition to any smart home. The Nest is easy to set up and program. It learns and automatically adjusts temperatures to your preferences after just a few days. Control from your phone anywhere! It also is energy efficient and looks great on the wall.

This is one of the best purchases I've made. I love Nest products! This was the second one I installed after the video doorbell. The wiring on this was a bit tricky and although I did most of it, it wouldn't operate. My AC unit happened to break so the repairman was able to rewire some things and make it work. Basically, I needed a C-wire, so we switched the ground wire for the C-wire. It's great if you are on a routine schedule as it learns your behavior. It looks sleek and works great! I purchased this through the ComEd rebate, so it was an awesome deal I couldn't pass up!

I have been considering getting a Nest Thermostat for serval months now after reading reviews and how the product can save you money. I opened the package and the install couldn't have gone more smoothly. Everything I needed for my application was present and it frankly took longer to uninstall my previous one than it did to install my Nest. The physical set up of the product in terms of software was a breeze. Easy to set up the mobile application as well. I can tell already how much more efficiently my furnace is running. The thermostat was quick to learn my and my wife's habits and adjust to them. It keeps my fan running only when needed and gets the house nice and warm before bed.

My husband and I are super happy with this Nest thermostat!! We haven't gotten our energy bill yet since we've installed it so hopefully we see some savings!! Other than that it makes being a home owner stress free of adjusting thermostat. You can download the app on your phone and control the thermostat. It gets familiar with your schedule to know when someone is home and not and adjusts the temperature!! Plus, if I'm ever out of the house, I can always manually turn on or off from my app! The installation time says 30 minutes but it took a little longer but with the Nest support 24/7, it went fairly easy.

I have had a couple Nest thermostats in my house for about 3 years. They are fairly easy to use and quite intuitive, especially when paired with the mobile app. I had one of my 2nd generations thermostats develop some sort of problem (began to heat up, couldn't detect temperature, turned on the heat instead of the A/C--a general meltdown) so I bought the 3rd Generation as a replacement. I agree with most online reviews that say that gen 3 is an incremental improvement--mostly cosmetic--and generally not at all worth an upgrade from gen 2. Still, this version is more visible from a distance if that's something you care about. The "works with Nest" compatibility family is a neat thing, and I do use that as a pretty big part of the connected "smart" home I've put together. However it's not a substitute for a dedicated home controller like SmartThings or (my choice) Homeseer. Nest does worth with those just fine. I've never tried Ecobee or the other competitors, but the Nest product line is a solid choice and certainly has an aesthetic appeal compared to a more traditional thermostat.

Wanted a connected thermostat, the Nest seemed to be the best choice after reading several comparison reviews. Installation was VERY easy (10 minutes tops-thank God I had a C-wire!). Set up was just as easy. They included a screwdriver, and not some cheap one either. It will be very difficult to throw it away LOL. So far operation has been great. Controlling remotely is a great feature!

My dad was in HVAC so we have owned programmable thermostats for decades but this takes it to a whole new level. We had a little bit of a slow start because the heating company that installed our furnace did not know how to help us pair it with our Alexa. The Nest support team was great at working with us and got us up and running. The eco setting is great when we leave home and when we are on our way home we can get the house to the temp we need it to be when we get home from hundreds of miles away. No more calling on neighbors to come in and make adjustments we can do it from our phone app.
