It is NOT, the newest gen thermostat looks more gunmetal-ish than pure black...ended up having to buy 2 of these just so I can have the same finish for upstairs and downstairs.

The hardware, instructions and even the included screwdriver is top notch. The only suggestion is to provide the instructions on changing the "default far display" to current room temp as most people would like this ability instead of just what temp it's set at. I "Googled it" but it should be in the directions.

Installation and setup was pretty easy (I'm an engineer) and they work very well. I did have a problem with one unit that I haven't yet resolved. It sees my local WiFi and is logged into it, but will not communicate with the app on my iPhone even the the other three work well. I'm out-of-state for some of the holidays and I can see the temps on 3 of the 4, and they all went into Eco mode automatically, lowering the temperatures to save energy. Probably because the motion sensors don't sense anyone there.
