Upgraded a super-old thermostat and humidistat combo in the new crib with this Nest. First of all, it is beautiful! We paired it with a third party moulding piece that surrounds it fully (a nest for the Nest). It really looks GOOD! We chose copper and the satin finish of the metal is exquisite. Enough about form! The installation was pretty rocky and it is a story I have to tell for a little caveat emptor affect. We elected to visit the Nest website in order to select a skilled / trained Nest installer. Oh, boy... The installer chosen was really responsive and sent some employees within the hour (which is amazing!) The guys who arrived proceeded to begin to attempt to install the Nest and it became clear to us that they had absolutely no idea what they were doing. At one point, I think the guys were even flipping through the little Nest manual. The short version of the installation debacle is this: for whatever reason, the guys could not get the Nest to power up and then suddenly (after about a 90 minute trial-and-error session) we were told that all was well. YIKES! A little bit of advice, not all Nest Pros are skilled and experienced in installing this device (despite what the Nest website and supposed Nest credentials might say). As far as function is concerned, it's been functioning really well. We're hopeful that we can squeeze a little extra life and efficiency out of our aging HVAC system and keep those bills down. It is really nice to schedule temperature fluctuations and to alter them from the mobile device. I've notice that if I want my place to be comfy and cool for my arrival, I definitely have to give the old system some time to get it cool for me, but that is not so much a condition of Nest as much as it is the limitation of a system that is 12+ years old. We know that when we replace the HVAC in this place, the Nest will be even more useful to us and so far we're happy with the purchase. Fingers crossed that the awkward installation wasn't a botched install. Looking forward to adding cameras and smoke detectors later on. Yay, Nest!

Love the "Nest"! Was first introduced to it in 2017 and had to buy one for my brand new home. You will not regret paying the price: the look, the features and how you can control from your iphone, it's really perfect. And it makes my entrance lobby look so much nicer. Installation was pretty straightforward, very happy with it.

Installation was easy, setup was easy, pairing iPhone to nest was easy. Controlling Nest with iPhone was easy after pairing. Nest display is easy to read from across the room.

Easy setup, accurate temperature control and it looks great on your wall.

This has been awesome! The install went a little awry when we missed the proper breaker and blew the fuse by touching some wires together. Once the fuse was replaced, the install went fast and easy. I like the simple, sleek design. The user interface is super simple as well. My favorite part is being able to change the temperature from my phone without having to get out of bed at night.

I read a lot of reviews before finally purchasing the Nest thermostat. In all, it was about a year between thinking about buying and actually buying it. I have an Xfinity Home security system and it was important to me that the thermostat I chose would work seamlessly with my system. The install was very easy. I chose to repaint the wall it was mounted on so that I would have the clean modern look of just the round "eye" of the thermostat and not use the rectangular baseplate. Wiring was very easy by following the instructions to the letter, especially using the included labels to label the wires before removing them from the old thermostat. The only issue that I had was this. After wiring and installing on the baseplate, there was no power to the screen when I turned the breaker back on. I searched for a solution online and finally came across a troubleshooting guide on the Nest website. It stated that in most cases the "C" wire is not needed by the Nest thermostat. So, I removed the "C" wire and it worked just fine. It would be VERY helpful if Nest would just include this important tidbit in the Installation Guide. Controlling the Nest from either the Nest app or the Xfinity Home app is a breeze. While the Nest thermostat does its best to learn your temp routines throughout the first few days, the app allows you to make minor adjustments or completely reprogram the settings. The Nest thermostat is worth every penny. I only wish I had bought it sooner.

The thermostat is very easy to install, connect to wifi, and pair with the Nest app. Works great for when setting schedules, temporary access to visitors, and monitoring energy usage. I would strongly recommend, especially if you're replacing an existing thermostat or furnace. Some energy providers may also offer discounts or coupons when purchased at Best Buy.

The smart Google Nest thermometer sounds great! It's always important to have an easy-to-use thermostat that can adapt to your specific conditions and preferences. Easy install looks great and works even better highly recommend

Overall a really great product. I'm able to manage my climate when I'm away from home, schedule the temps for time of day, etc. really awesome!

We travel a lot and needed a thermostat that could help us manage the environment in our home while we are away. The NEST was easy to set up and is super easy to use through our phones. We have already noticed that it seems to run the air conditioner more efficiently already.

At first I was a skeptic but it turns out I was totally wrong. Home automation and saving money just seemed like it would be too much work. In reality it was very easy to install and to learn how to use. In fact, after having it for a little over a month now i actually saved a lot of money and it's nice to see my area's comparison (how I used energy opposed to others in my area). Very cool gadget!

So far we have owned our nest thermostat for a little over a month. We have noticed that the temperature of our house is a little more comfortable. It keeps track of the amount of hours your heat and air run I know for a fact that it’s about half the time of our previous thermostat. It was easy to install took no more than 30 minutes. Would definitely buy again.

So easy to install that even a less than handy person like myself was able to put it together and make it work. Love being able to control the heat/cool from my phone and put it in "away" or "eco" mode when I leave the house for an extended period of time. Has already saved me money on energy bills, plus the product (in Illinois) was eligible for rebates from the electric and gas companies.

My third google - nest learning Smart WiFI thermostat. One in my primary residence and two at my vacation home. So easy to use and fantastic being able to view temp before arriving at the home to potentially adjust the temp.

Within two weeks after installing my Nest thermostat, i LOVED looking up the weekly savings. It was an easy install and works great with my electronic devices. The only one flaw, if any, is the price. I think it's a little overpriced, but looking at the savings in a few months it'll make up for it. I knows when I'm home and when i'm away. It's an amazing tool to have at home.

Once I got the ports open on my Comcast router so the Nest would talk to home base, this works great. NEST customer support is top notch!! She stuck with me on the line with Comcast over an hour to be sure it worked! Love that it lights up as I approach it. Love being able to set the ac and heat from my phone or tablet.

You can actually use the app to turn on and off your furnace and air conditioner. It’s definitely smarter than me! Two thumbs up! Very expensive, worth the cost connecting to my other devices.

Installation and setup could not be any easier. I have an older home but the wiring instructions made it a breeze. Setup was very simple and the unit has basically just taken charge of everything since we set the temperature ranges we wanted. I like the monthly energy reports that I get and the fact that I was able to connect this to both my Logitech Harmony remote and my Amazon Echo. Great product.
