I got this thermostat to more easily control the temp changes between what I like and my wife likes. It makes this easier than going through the different menus the old thermostat required. What surprised me was the monthly usage report that showed how long the heat/cool was staying on. The air conditioner runs way more than I'd expected. I'll make up the cost of purchase for the Nest by getting my unit serviced.

It seems that we can remotely control just about everything now but the Nest learning thermostat really makes sense. Remotely controlling your air/heating units can save you a lot of money. The benefit of the learning thermostat is that it can learn your patterns and save you money with minimal input. Definitely worth the expense.

I know there are numerous reviews and I typically don't write when that is the case but this is the exception. I have been very pleased with the performance and savings I have realized through the nest monthly report as well as local power company rebates. Check with your local power company for potential savings/rebates for all your energy efficient/smart home purchases.

Super intuitive love the app and how easy it is to adjust all settings. It comes with all the installation parts and even extra tools. The wall plate came in handy since our previous thermostat was installed quite poorly.

Great thermostat, however geek squad did a horrible job trying to install it my new thermostat. When disconnecting and uninstalling my old thermostat the technician crossed to wires that fried the main power source to my hvac system and blew a fuse. So the install wasn’t successful and the reinstall of my old thermostat was no longer working. I called the supervisor to the geek squad to have another technician come out the following day and he couldn’t determine what the issue was and tried to say I had rats in the Attic that chewed on lines hvac lines to thermostat, which I knew that was a lie because he didn’t go up there to check and I just rebuilt my house from the ground up. Called an actual hvac system company to see what was the problem and all the issues where from when the first geek squad tech came out and crossed the wires. Everything happened at the base of thermostat of failed installment of the my google nest thermostat. & I didn’t receive my Reimbursement for the install that did not & I had to come out of pocket $600+ to fix my hvac system that Best Buy geek squad messed up.. Horrible experience ever..

Love it that I can control the temperature from anywhere. Easy to install, setup and use

I'm very satisfied with this purchase. Although originally steep price it has paid itself back after 4 months of use. I had new eco windows installed. Paired with the next my savings are half the cost compared to my neighbors. Bonus thought: this is great when you have a two story home. You really don't need multiple thermostats. Just install the app on your phone (ex. when your in bed).

Have had the unit installed for a couple of days and it is already making suggestions for how I would "like" the temperature to be. Easy setup, awesome integration with other products (have it working with my Lutron Caseta System). Stylish, clean and easy to use.

The nest thermostat is easy to use and very convenient when you are away from

I purchased one nest a few years ago and loved it so much that I bought another. We moved to a larger home that had 2 thermostats so we needed a 2nd. It really does pay for itself and saves money on the electric bill. I love that I can control it away from home. Most of the time, I set it and forget it. Love it! Highly recommend.

Great device. I replaced my previious thermostat Honeywell, which became acting stranegly. At summer time whith conditioner use it stayed on a fan mode way after a compressor went off, after achieved desired temperature, thus wasting power for nothing. That gave me idea that it sem to become defective. Now I have Nest and it changed things a lot. I can monitor snd change settings on line too.

Nest thermostats will save you money by precisely keeping your home at the perfect temperature. The built in energy saving features will automatically keep your HVAC system off when you leave home. I would recommend using this with the Nest temperature sensors for rooms that you want to keep at a specific temperature at times.

The hot stays hot and the cool stays cool. Very happy with this.

Hooked it up in minutes, was very impressed with the look and feel of the item. Worked great immediately. Then, during the night it sounded like Darth Vader was in the heating vents. Apparently the furnace was quick staging. After seeking help online, I determined I needed to hardwire another wire from furnace to thermostat. Took some doing, but solved the problem. Working great ever since
