We purchased the Nest and it has been very helpful in helping us to control heat costs when we are away from home. It is also nice to have a weather display that shows what it's like outside. With a simple prompt like 'Okay Google, I'm Cold!' the Google Home will let the Nest know to bump up the heat to 70 degrees. Very Handy!

Easy to install and has dropped my electric bill by 25%

Bought this because we have an Amazon Echo and also so that when we go away for a few days we can start the A/C cooling when we are about an hour away. Works great just tell the Echo to move the temp up or down and it happens. When we use the app on the phones it responds almost instantly.

Electric bill was getting crazy with the old thermostat so I decided to give the nest a try based on the reviews and a friends recommendation. This is the best thing since sliced bread! My electric bill has changed significantly despite the Texas heat still being ever present. It is pricey, but it's paid for itself in two months!

I've been a nest user for years now. I have the Gen 1 in my house and I recently installed this one at my Mom's. Same setup, same software, all the things you love about the original thermostat. Love the new colors. I just wish that my mom's HVAC was able to use the E instead of this to keep it simple and cheaper.

One of the best purchases I've ever made! Get one!

I was curious as to how the Nest would really save you money. While I will never know the algorithms it uses, Nest really did save me about 10% per month on my gas heating bill. This savings will pay for the Nest in 6 months. I am a believer.

I had no issues installing this except the backplate did not cover the wall entirely where the old thermostat was. It is a great device and is great because you can turn the air cooler before you get home.

AS previously stated, I initially bought the white version for my office and it was a dud right out of the box. I swapped it out and this Stainless Steel version was the only color available. I installed it and both my heating and air work perfectly. No issues thus far.

I love the new thermostat. I usually forget to change the settings on mine before or try to remember setting timers and all. This learns when you come home and adjusts accordingly. I can't wait to see this year over year

Installed and it immediately detected problems with my furnace. Called in a repair man and found it had been overheating. Saved me from a major repair cost in the future! Pairs well with Alexa, the only thing I'd like is if you could ask Alexa the current temperature inside, although this could be something addressed later.

After getting it installed, I immediately saw my energy bills decrease from prior months. I try to stay pretty diligent about setting it to Away mode if I leave the house. This switches it to ECO mode, which saves money. I travel some for work, so ECO mode definitely helps on my energy consumption.
