I've used a programmable thermostat for years that wasn't user friendly. Nest takes it to a whole new level. IoT, ability to check and control from app remotely. Learns habits. Extremely easy to set up. Couldn't ask for much more.

I made the purchase when I discovered that when combined with my security system, it would give me outstanding energy savings. In just one month, the savings chart showed a large savings when compared to the area average. The Nest will pay for itself in "no time at all".

It provides proper heating and cooling by assessing our usage and regulating on its own. Talk about a smart product... this one is brillant and a must have.

It has a memory based on the temps you want to set it up has. We has a minor issue with the order but an online Supervisor stepped right up and corrected the problem. We will see you very soon Best Buy

It does work, but it is a real pain to adjust all the time. It is not like a regular thermostat. It keeps going on "eco" which I do not have it set to do. So in my hot FL home I come home to stuffy. Or hot at night. Wish I had not bought it. But to change is going to cost me a lot from an electrician.

The thermostat changes its temperature automatically due to some factors like, schedule, learned habits (auto schedule), and Home/Away Assist which makes your thermostat go to ECO mode. You have an option to use it as a traditional programmable thermostat. You can manually set the temperature and create your schedules for the thermostat to follow. Here’s how:
With the Nest app:
- Open the Nest app and select your Nest thermostat.
- Select Settings and then Auto-Schedule.
- Tap the switch to turn it off.
With your thermostat:
- Press the ring and choose Settings and then Nest Sense and then Auto-Schedule and then Off.
We also suggest turning off your Home/Assist, and clearing the existing schedules by selecting Settings, > Reset, > Schedule > Reset.

First, my utility service provider has a rebate program with Nest and that resulted in an $85 credit. Then there are features on the thermostat like Auto-away that detect no one in home and saves energy by not cooling as much. Very happy with my purchase

However our thermostat was not wired properly for the installation. We left the next day for a trip and have not returned since. It will be mid-Feb. until we are able to deal with the situation. The Best Buy tech rep. was excellent in his explanation of the situation. Will return the product and start over.

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great thermostat, bought in order to utilize the humidistat feature and to replace a Nest Thermostat E that did not have that feature. Would rank 5 stars if the relative humidity would adjust according to the outside temperature, but you have to keep an eye on it and monitor on your own it seems. Still, kept me from having to install a humidistat on my return, so all in all, worth it.

One issue is that the all takes a while to load every time that is opened. This may not be an issue for most. I already had another smart thermostat and with all the other issues it had, it would load in an instant when I wanted to change the temperature in the middle of the night (rather than waiting at least 20-30 seconds with this).

Has saved me a ton of money on my monthly electric bill, as I can adjust it from my phone matter where I am, and my apartment can be nice and chilly when I get back to it Yet not have to run the AC all day to be that way. Well worth the money

I quickly realized I should have done this ages ago - super easy to use, and most importantly, saves me a ton on energy bills!
