Wonderful product

This was one of the items that we knew were a must replace and we also sold my mom on adding one to her home. This nest allows us to see the history of usage and control the temperature of our home even while we are away.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I considered buying another brand but ultimately bought the Nest thermostat because I have other connected products that work with Nest. The drawback to this product is that you have to manually override the cool/heat because of the learning feature even when you have turned it off. The cost of the thermostat is high but most thermostats are expensive unless you want to go with a product that isn't wifi enabled.

Posted .Hi there tchapin, thanks for letting us know about the issue. We're sorry to hear about your difficult experience turning off the learning feature for Nest Learning Thermostat.
Other than deleting your programmed schedule, to use your Nest thermostat as a traditional programmable thermostat, you will need to turn off Auto-Schedule learning as shown on the steps below:
- Open the Nest app on your mobile phone or tablet.
- Select your Nest thermostat.
- Select Settings icon and then select Auto-Schedule.
- Tap the switch to turn it off.
You can also turn off the Auto-Schedule on your Nest Thermostat E by following the steps below:
- Press the ring.
- Choose Settings icon.
- Then select Nest Sense.
- Then select Auto-Schedule and then select Off.

Love that I can control them with my Moto 360 watch and that I can also control each floor with Amazon Echo. Only thing not to crazy about is that the screen has no resistance to scratching, so cleaning must be done carefully with soft cloth.

Missing key features, get ecobee instead

It is a solid good looking device but extremely over rated. Only collects 2 weeks of history, cant handle aux emergency heat for heat pump systems, missing basic user configuration and not a touch screen. I really wanted it to work out for our house but once we found out that it would not run aux emergency heat it had to go.
