1. Disable learning for the temperature schedule: When Auto-Schedule or Smart Schedule is turned on, it learns from the adjustments you make to optimize your schedule. You can manually edit the existing schedule, create an entirely new one, or turn off these learning features.
2. Turn off or adjust Eco Temperature: Your Nest thermostat gives you a temperature range you can select from when you set an Eco Temperature. The Eco Temperature ranges you can choose from are: 40-70°F (4-21°C) for heating mode and 76-90°F (24-32°C) for cooling mode.

Nest Learning Thermostats are designed to help save you energy while making your home comfortable enough. However, if you're using a heat pump system and your heating system isn't heating fast or warm enough, you may change the heat pump balance feature and adjust the heating according to your needs. This feature combines your heat pump and auxiliary (AUX) heating to achieve your heating requirements. Heat Pump Balance lets you select a level of comfort and savings that you like: more comfort, more savings, or a balance between the two. You can choose between Max Comfort, Max Savings, Balanced or Off. Choosing Max Comfort will help you reach the heating target temperature faster. Keep in mind that using this setting will incur additional cost since it will be using both your heat pump and auxiliary heating. We were building a house so I did not need it for a while. When everything was ready 7 months later and we were able to use it, it would not turn on. After speaking with nest they told us to return it to best buy. Best buy refused the return, so I had to buy another thermostat. I went ahead and bought a nest again and this one worked. I like the thermostat, don't like best buys 14 day return policy. I would purchase this product somewhere else. I would recommend the product to a friend, not purchasing at best buy though.

Posted .We apologize for your experience with the Nest Thermostat, as well as your experience with Nest support. We would only refer customers to the place of purchase if they wanted a refund. Our products do come with a two year warranty. While we wouldn’t be able to provide a refund in this case, any customer can contact us and we’d be able to replace a faulty unit that’s still under warranty by sending a replacement.

Not for dual heat systems

Worth the money
