The convince of being able to turn down the thermostat from your phone is enough for me. I can check the temperature for the dogs when we are out of town. Love love the nest!

It was also great to receive the rebates from Comed and Nicor! $150 in savings. Being able to watch and control the house temp from work or just out shopping is great and the savings will add up!

Could be better with Matter support so it would work with Apple Home. Google's cheaper thermostat supports Matter, no reason this one shouldn't. It has all the necessary hardware for it.

It learns everything you do with the thermostat, remembers it and then changes the temp in the future based on your trends. You gottta get it!

Google commits to bring users the same feature and software support you’ve always had. However, we made the difficult decision to stop support for Nest Secure and Dropcam starting April 8, 2024 but not on Nest Learning Thermostat. I love when I'm lazy and upstairs I can adjust the temperature right from my cell phone. We've seen a reduction in our energy bills and the rebates we got made this a no brainer.
