When i opened it to replace it I noticed the original battery leaked and messed up the board. Supposedly that was a lithium battery and should not have leaked. Weird. I would not recommend this thermostat though if you have an iPhone and Apple watch. Initially Google had an app for the watch which they discontinued.

Would love to get it to sync with my Amazon Echo Plus as I understood it should be able to do. Love that it can track whether one is home and lower the temperature when not home.

Other than that, the thermostat works great and offers lots of programming and customization options.
