I was worried that setting this up would be difficult, but luckily the install guide was very helpful. The thermostat looks great, and works like a charm. There was a short period after the initial charge session where it read a little hotter than the air actually was, but it did cool down quickly.

I purchased the Next gen 3 thermostat on a Sunday morning from Best Buy and it was delivered THE SAME DAY for free! Wow! Installation was super simple. Luckily I had an extra "C" wire not being used so I was able to attach that to the thermostat and on the furnace board to power the unit. Setup was easy and I loved how the screwdriver even had a magnet end to hold the screws a bit. App setup was smooth. No issues connecting to our wireless. Only thing that hung me up for a couple minutes was not knowing how to "select" the options one the screen. Turning the dial was ok, but I learned from a video online that to select you press around the sides of the display. Ah!!! That could have been better communicated maybe with a sticker on the device. System is so smart. It can run the fan a bit after the AC turns off to help push out remaining cool air. Doing the schedules on the app is pretty straightforward. It can give alerts if temp is too high or low and change the temps accordingly. This is going to be awesome.

I will start that I have a little background knowledge on building computers and understanding different types of wirings, however with hvac, I don’t know what color wire does what. I would say if you are on the fence of buying and you’re installing yourself like I did, snap a photo of the wiring. You can then reference your current thermostat and plug in the values into the google nest site. There are many guides and even after is you messed up a little, the on screen prompts will guide you. As for building quality, it’s a very well made product (same attention to detail and boxed as an apple product) After installed the prompts guide you and super easy to program modes and schedules. I feel 2-3 months this nest will pay for itself as I’m in the 400 to 700 a month in electricity bills and most is from the hvac that is first off would run when I didn’t want it do with a bad old thermostat and I think the blower unit trips way to often. I’m writing this after two days but I can already feel the fans kick in ONLY when needed. Also I love the remote app to set and switch off when you are away. I’m amazed by thisthis nest product!

Wow this thermostat its very nice, its learning if you are not at home so chanche to saving mode, and so many feature that it has, super recommend it, I installed by my self!

Works great! Nice to be able to change temperature from the app. A lot of effort went into the setup instruction to make installation simple. Could have had better user instructions for the menu system when not using the app.

I easily upgraded to the Nest, installing it in accord with online video instructions. They made it simple. It has operated just as promised. I greatly appreciate being able to access it from my iPhone, whether at home or out and about. We are saving energy (and money) thanks to the ease of controls and remote access of this device - and it looks great!

No issues, i have to say im really happy with the solid look and design of this themostart, working great and i already see my electric bill went down . Been paying 200+ each month and now only pay 180 some a month

Had new heat pump installed and the thermostat that the HVAC guy installed didn’t accurately sense temperature and keep house at desired temp. My nephew recommended I try the nest thermostat since I already had other nest products, so I did. Seems to be working great. I have a dual fuel system and it was easy to set up and program settings. I also purchased sensors to place in other areas of house so I could better regulate temps upstairs and down. The nest learning thermostat lets you add sensors where the regular thermostat does not.

Works great, made my life more easier! I have Airbnb, when not home, I can control the temperature from whatever I’m at! Will highly recommend it!

This is my second nest thermostat. The first was actually in an apartment I rented. I wanted my nest leafs back after I bought a place of my own. Installing was super simple, however, I did experience a bit of anxiety when it wouldn’t pull up on my iPhone. As I am learning the best way to interact with google products is to scan the QR code on the device. I quickly come out of my nervous state when the A/C kicked on. In the interim I did request assistance form nest support and ended up not needing the help. I find the eco settings work best for me. Maybe due to not having an android phone, I had better experience working the settings at the thermostat. Dialed it in after a couple of days and it’s doing it thing. Happy!

Installed it myself but some of the connections were incorrect. Call support staff service was excellent and walked me through the couple of connections that needed to be changed. Love the ability to control via mobile phone and the away from home settings feature. Looking forward to energy savings with nest!!

Excellent product! Very good looking and design! Easy to use from the panel and from the Nest App. Also is great to see the history and what triggers savings! Home/Away assist helps to save energy.

Took about a half hour to install with the help of my son reading the app for me, simple install and works great. I really like the way it turns on when you walk near it and shows the temperature . Even better it comes with a nice screwdriver and all hardware

We purchased a Nest for our home. The installation was extremely easy, and the set up was self explanatory. We also added the Nest app to the phone and the app is extremely easy to navigate. It’s such a nice ability to adjust the temperature in the home with the tap of a finger!

Great addition to our new home, replacing the old thermostat. The pure ability to quickly change the temp settings remotely (while inside or outside your home) is just amazing. Even if I'm laying down and notice that the bedroom is too cold or too hot, all it takes is a couple of taps and DONE. Added a secondary thermometer to my child's bedroom and I often use it as a primary directive to automatically adjust the temp settings. This is GREAT! Make sure to use the rebates in your State to your advantage, I got $100 off mine.

I've had this thermostat installed for about 1.5 months now. Installation was easy and its working as advertised so far. I tried a different wifi thermostat first and it just didn't work well for me so I took it back and went with the nest. It's learned my schedule and I live the auto away feature. I never remembered to adjust my thermostat when I was away, now I don't have to!

I didn't think a smart thermostat was going to impress me, but the Nest thermostat did just that. Ease of use, app is intuitive, and everything worked flawlessly. Best Buy delivery was on time, and installation was simple.

So far working great with my furnace. I have a two wire hook up and this thermostat uses power from the furnace to keep the battery charged with no extra wires needed. The app interface is good. Installation was easy with plenty of support if needed. Now I’ll know for sure that the temperature in my house is good when I travel during the winter. Has some other good bells and whistles but that was low on my priority scale.

This is probably one of the best smart thermostats out there. User friendly, easy controls and keeps the temperatures in check on all our 3 floors

These devices are incredible. I have 1 upstairs and 1 down. I keep the floor that im not on set to Eco. Before i go upstairs to bed i cut the air on in summer to cool before i get there. Same with the downstairs. Using the app on my phone , i can control the temperature. It keeps me from using any ac/heat in that area until right before im in it. Average savings.. not quite sure but summer ac has run $170. This yr with Nest...$135. On happy girl!!!!!
