Pretty idiot proof for even a senior! Light comes on as you approach making easy to operate in dark at night

The thermostat is great. Very good features. Also allows me to check the history of the HVAC usage which is very useful.

After initially having issue with only 4 wires to main thermostat. I discovered I could buy Venstar ACC0410 wire saver to provide 5th common wire needed for reliable control. I had called Support and they were helpful in troubleshooting but their answer was to call a Nest Pro consultant to install. Yes liked the first install results and operation to buy second thermostat for basement zone which ironically only needs 4 wires in the slave zone.

I added the Nest thermostat to gain better control of my HVAC with the goal of energy savings. I now have the ability to control my HVAC with my smart phone. The Nest thermostat does what is advertises, has sensors that can save energy when you are away without any programming by the end user.

I needed some assistance during installation and the customer service person was very helpful, I had some extra wires. They sent me a diagram via email and followed up. It was up and running within 15-20 minutes. It is working as expected.

I did a ton of research before the purchase and it was so worth it. With out question the only thermostat you should buy.

I updated my Nest 2nd Gen for the 3rd gen. It's Bigger and Better. My daughter likes it how it displays the time when you pass by.

TheNrst was very easy to install. It has helped me to regulate my heating and cooling better. The phone app is very helpful too.
