Sure, any programmable thermostat can accomplish basically the same thing. But I love knowing the Nest is intelligently monitoring to meet my specific needs and it integrates flawlessly with the other Nest products.

I was very skeptical at first when I was looking for a WiFi thermostat but this thing takes the cake, seamless integration with google home and the away eco features pays for itself In about a six months to a year

Very nice "smart" thermostat. It has definitely opened my eyes to how much energy we were using. It has allowed us to start scheduling the air/heat to kick in at times when we are home and then adjust when we are away. Great product. Would be 5 stars if it was more intuitive to program. Had to do quite a bit of research on different functions. Also, it works with my Amazon Echo....Way cool!

The nest learning thermostat has been an excellent addition to our home. The ability to set schedules, control with google, as well as the home/away assist have helped us save money. I'd recommend to anyone.

This thermostat is the best thermostat I have found. I like that it only displays a temp when you walk by it and that it controls an Aprilaire humidifier.

This is the 4th Nest learning thermostat that we've purchased / installed in our different properties and they are amazing! Awesome to see how much energy you can save with this device....well worth the investment!

Only had for a couple weeks during the summer, Great so far

I was looking at these for a few years, I waited a couple generations before taking the plunge. The best part about the Nest thermostat is that it saves you money and you can turn off your heat/AC automatically when you are not home!

Bought this as a second unit for add-on rooms to my residence. Works just like the primary unit purchased several years ago. Great energy-saving device.

So far, so good. A few "interesting" temperatures seemed to auto-load at strange times. For example, at 9pm with an outside temp of ~71 degrees, and an inside temp of ~75, the AC kicked on at a temp of 70 degrees. I was baffled. What was cool was I deleted those from the record, and haven't had the issue since. Even while I'm at work, I'll adjust as necessary to keep it in the green (leaf).

The thermostat knows when to turn on and off because it knows our hours we’re not home. Love it.!!!

The Nest was easy to install, I had it up and running in less than 30 minutes.

Smart, sleek and does the job. The learning feature takes some getting used to.
