I have 2 of these. Can't get it to connect to my current Nest network even though they can connect to my home network. As a result, I can't control them remotely. So it loses stars on their poor setup process. Otherwise, easy to install and control... manually.

Super easy to install. 1st full cycle gas bill since I installed it just arrived, Saved $65! (About 33%). Also love the convenience of being able to adjust temp from my phone.

Great learning thermostat, just wish it had an option to force a particular schedule if you do not want it to learn for you.

I have not been able to connect it to my Google assistant so I can give it voice commands

Unfortunately the Nest thermostat was not compatible with my ac unit. I had to return it.

These are excellent. Theyve helped reduce my power bill each month by $100-200. They work so well.

Not as flexible as expected. I cannot have it simply display the current temperature when the heat/cool is off!

Did not work with my system, it might be a great product, but it did not work for me.

This thermostat is so convenient. I can set it anywhere I am away from the apartment.

I have owned a few smart thermostats and have to say that this is not my favorite. It promises to "learn" but I find the schedule to be a little tedious to maintain. Other products allow you to globally make changes a little easier. Unless I am missing something, I find it to be a pain to modify the schedule for seasonal change.

Doesn't always communicate with proprietary HVAC systems like certain Honeywell models.

With the rebate from Edison and southern cal it’s worth to install this thermostat. I wish I bought this early on

Great thermostat for managing your temperature while away from home or while home. Can control through app. Detects while away. Got through some mail in rebates for free.

Initially it was a little bit difficult to install but eventually got it working

I am extremely disappointed in this Nest thermostat. I installed it 3 days ago and all seemed to be fine until today. I have a C wire but Google said I did not need to connect it so I did not; however, my AC stopped working due to battery issues with this thermostat. I had to research how to troubleshoot this expensive piece of crap and am currently manually charging the unit. I shouldn’t have to purchase additional wire connectors to get this expensive unit to work properly. I will most likely be returning this useless product this weekend. I do not recommend this product.

I really like this learning thermostat but unfortunately the 3rd generation has some problems. Works great for about a month but then it looses the internet conection and will not get it back. Almost like it has a defective wifi chip. Nest tech support was very good to work with and in isolating the problem. They are sending me a new one in 2 days. An updated one I hope.

It was hard to adjust to the nest as it learns ad it goes. Had to constantly change it for awhile

Geofence is not showing us at home when we have been home for hours. Other than that, works like an over priced thermostat.

My nest was working great and integrated with Alexa and all the bells and whistles, until my house stopped heating after a week of bitter cold. The Nest appeared to be working fine but would not turn on the heater. I thought something was wrong with the furnace and paid $100 for an emergency visit. Find out it was the guy's THIRD Nest of the day and that the cold weather is short circuiting the internal battery. I had to pay another $100 for a temporary thermostat so my house doesn't freeze and the Nest site says I will have to pay yet another $100 to install a common wire to fix what is their own design flaw. I've been on nest support for over an hour waiting to talk to someone. The site is terrible in communicating this flaw so unless I had not read about this in the news or had a furnace guy familiar with the issue, I would never have known.
