Just an OK Thermostat

The app and compatibility with other devices is what initially sold me on the Nest. After using for a year we noticed issues with our AC running all the time but not always cooling, so of course I call a technician to check it out. As we found out, the Nest was the root cause that had fried our AC contactor. The contactor controls the flow of electricity to all parts of the unit. Turns out this is a very common issue with Nest. Save yourself some time and money and go with a reliable brand like Honeywell or Ecobee.

Ok but wish I had done different route

What is annoying is that I set it for heat to 68 and cool to 74. In the middle of the night it will change to 70-74 and wake up my children whose room turn into a sauna with the heat. I really hate the “predict what you really want” feature
