The Nest has changed traditional thinking about programmable thermostats. It connect to Wi-Fi, and can be run from a smartphone, tablet, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, etc., and provides the current weather conditions outside the home. The furnace fan can be run on a schedule so you don't have to choose between "Auto" or "On" manually. It can be set to Cool and Heat at the same time so it will pick which device to run based on the selected temperature much like a newer car does.

I bought this because I am going to be in and out of the area over the next year and wanted to be able to adjust temperature in my home remotely. I have had experience with Nest cameras and they are easy to set up and do a nice job of keeping me informed about my dogs and property. The thermostat was easy to install, about 15 min. be sure to make sure of compatibility with your system. Set up was a little tricky but even a beginning do it your self type should have little problem setting it up. I am happy with the way it is making my heating system respond to my schedule and it was fun sharing it with my wife who is in another city and the way that the thermostat joined with the other Nest products we own. Only down side was the cost, but well worth it once set up and working.

The thermostat Nest is easier to adjust and works wonders when you need to adjust the settings when not at home. Also I see the savings on my electric bill.

instalation and set up are very straightforward with different options available for desired looked. testing of the system components is easily done from the thermostat, and the app allows you to change the temperature and set cool/heating schedules easily.

I have been using this thermostat for about 3 months now and I really love the convenience of this thermostat. It learns your routines within about 2 weeks and auto adjusts itself so my house is cool/warm at the appropriate times, plus being able to control it from my phone or voice command using Alexa makes this device truly user friendly. I would recommend to anyone, but especially people who are tech savvy or enjoy smart home devices.

I had been wanting one of these for a few years and with the black friday sale I got 2 for my house. One for upstairs and one for downstairs. I was a little hesitant but this thing is the real deal. With the app on my phone I can lay in bed and change the temperature or when I am away. It also has built in learning that remembers how you like the temperature and it knows when you are away and will adjust the temperature since no one is in the house. You can also make a schedule also.

Recently, we purchased two Google Nest Smart Thermostats and had them installed by the Geek Squad. We couldn't be more happy with these thermostats. They are easy to use, pleasant to the eye and, after about one week, they learn your temp settings and begin establishing settings on their own unless you override them. We are so pleased with them that we plan to have a 3rd one installed in the near future.

I like it. Easy to use, love being able to control it from my phone when I'm not home. Turn the AC off when I'm not home, turn it on from the car when I'm on my way. I don't like the learn feature, need to figure it out. Not sure how it learned to turn down the temperature down in the middle of the night but I constantly need to erase the memory so I don't wake up in the middle of the night being cold.

I am happy with the Nest thermostat. I haven’t had it long enough to give a quality review, but so far it has been great. It was easy to install and appears to have helped us save on energy costs (hard to quantify because the weather has been HOT). The user interface is simple to use and easy to program. The usage data and scheduling could be better but it is leaps and bounds better than our previous “not smart” programmable thermostat.

Easy to install and easy to connect to the app. I like the simple design and functionality. It's already paid for itself as my energy bill for the first month dropped nearly 30%!

The nest thermostat is a wonderful tool. The perfect alternative to your typical thermostat, the nest is smart. It is also easy to use and go from heat to cool and control the temperature. You can set it so that the temperature will know when the space is occupied or not occupied. It is an energy saver. Love it!

Installation and setup were a breeze! I lucked out as the old thermostat I was replacing was small and didn't have to repair or paint too much around the nest after installing it. However, they include a white wall plate (that I assume you can paint your wall color) in case you need to use it to cover the area of the old thermostat. It's nice they provide the option.

I liked the way that it works, except for one thing. It was not compatible with my particular central air system. Nest says that their product works with 95% of all systems. Mine wasn't one of them. It seems pretty intuitive to use. Choose a program, turn the dial, and then tap to enter. My unit stayed on at 72 all the time. While I tried to adjust the Nest temperature up and down, my system did not respond to my requests. Regretfully, I had to return my Nest. I would recommend it, BUT anyone considering buying should check for compatibility with their a/c unit (Label).

This thermostat has actually help control our heating and cooling costs with its simple, easy to use eco mode. Not to mention being able to control it fully from any place on earth. Lots of great features with very easy installation instructions. If you're on the fence about such a large purchase, I would say it is worth every penny. Just the convenience features alone makes up for the cost of this item. It's almost like it maximizes the efficiency of your current unit and makes it run like new.

Love the look and having the ability to change the temperature from anywhere and it learn my adjustments.
