Im going to keep it short and sweet. Super easy to install yourself, beautiful design, flawless interface, app works seamlessly! To early to say if it saves me money on my utility bill but I really made the purchase for the programable features anyway.

This will be three of five Nests I have purchased in the last two years. The first two were installed in my current home and these three are going into a newly purchased home. These are for a vacation home located in Rancho Mirage, CA, a desert community, where temperatures vary wildly, throughout the year. These have saved me hundreds of dollars in utility expense because it learns our habits. However, the greatest advantage is I can control these remotely, not only to set a comfortable temperature, prior to my arrival, but, more importantly, I can check, remotely, to confirm I reset the temps upon my departure. The phone app works perfectly. Even though these seem expensive, you will recoup your cost over time, or very quickly should you have set the wrong temperature, during an extended absence.

The eco setting is great as it doesn't really keep up with a routine set in alexa. Its easy to use. And looks great

Easiest install I have ever done. It works flawlessly and saved 60 dollars on the first month I had it installed on my electric bill. It learns and creates a schedule for you based on your settings manually. Get one... I got a second unit for downstairs.

One of the Best Buy sales people recommended the Nest to me when I asked what sort of devices could be controlled with my new Echo device. When I got it home, I followed the installation instructions. It was really quite simple and works like a charm

Absolutely love our nest!! So easy to use. Love how it tracks what we have used & adjusts to our settings/usage. Also love being able to set it from being away from home. Few cold nights at baseball we were able to turn on before we came home & it was nice.

The NEST Learning thermostat is easy to set up, saves a lot of electricity, and can be remotely controlled. We use it at our cabin on Lake Superior so we can make sure that we have the heat set properly in the winter to prevent our pipes from freezing.

Read up on thermostat and compared it vs Eccobee and honeywell. Decided on the Nest even though it was the most expensive one. Didn't regret the decision. Was easy to install, operating system was intuitive, the thermostat just plain looks great.

Got the nest 3rd gen thermostat and I don't know how one could live without it. The nest took only a half hour to install and has been operating well ever since. The best part is using it with your phone to control the temp or hooking it up to Alexa.

This is an absolute must have product to control your heating/cooling system. HOWEVER, there are a few important things to know, which I've learned after owing my first version of this thermostat for almost 5 years and recently purchasing a new one. First, it is very important to remember that 4 wire systems can work with a 3rd gen Nest, but with a big caveat. You will either get enough trickle charge for the thermostat to last your ownership of it, or you will have to buy a 24 Volt Transformer C Wire Power Adapter for Nest (recommend googling it) to offer supplemental power. I know this now because I had a 4 wire system that failed to power the device after nearly 5 years of my ownership. Secondly, find out if your heating/cooling system has a C-wire on board, even if you currently have a 4 wire system. Mine did have this so I was able to pay a qualified technician to run a new 5 wire system to my new thermostat. But as I stated in the previous point, if a 4 wire is your only option, then refer to the adapter reference in my previous point. A final recommendation I have is to keep a manual style heating/cooling thermostat on hand to back this one up should an extended power outage or software/device malfunction occur. As nice as it is to be on your home's WIFI network and be able to program, use the smart functionality of the thermostat and be able to access remotely, it is smart to have a back up thermostat.....which I also learned the hard way. Best of luck on this purchase. If expectations are properly set, you're going to love this device.

This was easy to set up. It does what you want it to do. You can check online and set the temperature, set away mode. After a few weeks it learns your habits and becomes more efficient. Works very well.

We’ve had the Nest for about a month. It’s great to be able to control your thermostat from anywhere. Plus as the Nest learns it optimizes your energy usage. It was easy to install and well worth the investment especially with the rebate.

i bought this for Christmas and it is the best. it is easy to install. It is easy to program and i love getting messages on how much energy I am using and how I can save more by changing my settings. You Can' go wrong is buying this item.

I am extremely happy with my Nest... It looks pretty cool on the wall, with the colorful display and all the information on it... Easy to setup and the best part is you can control it from your phone, anywhere, anytime... Love it :-)

The king of smart thermostats. Looks good anywhere, easy to use interface, paid for itself in 3 months. Also check your local power company, they may offer bigger discounts than retail.

Love the look function and features of our new copper Nest Learning Thermostat. Goes to eco mode when we aren't home but has the house cool when we come back, Love to see how it works in Winter. Very happy with the product so far.

If you have not used or seen a smart thermostat, they are something you didn't know you needed but once you have it you wouldn't go back. The simple interface and connected Nest makes monitoring and adjusting the thermostat simple and easy wherever you are! It can tell when you left the house to change the temperature to save energy when you aren't home and even start heating or cooling the house in anticipation of your return home. Before you purchase a Nest, you need to verify if you can install one for your system. Not every system will work. There are a lot of features and functionality but it is definitely on the high end of the automated and wifi connected thermostats.

Added two of these to the house and love the ease of adjustment. And the fact that they learn your habits after a few days of adjusting makes it that much better. Now I'm looking forward to seeing if there is a savings on my heating cost.

Installation was not too hard. The thermostat seems to be cycling properly and looks to be saving us some money when we are not home. Liking the energy usage feature. Seems to be a good purchase.
