We purchased the Nest and installed it ourselves in our home in less than 15 minutes. The features and ease of use are amazing and the fact that it has already learned our schedules and is controlling our energy usage is awesome! I highly recommend this product to anyone wishing to lower bills in your home!

I love my Nest thermostat. It works great with my alarm system called SimpliSafe. When I turn on my alarm, if I set it up, My alarm system will automatically adjust my temperature. I can control it from my phone by raising or lowering the temperature before I get home or after I leave. I can set up my weekly schedule. It's the best thermostat I have ever owned. I highly recommend getting one. I liked it so much I purchased a second one for my upstairs.

My house was built in 1997 and furnace has only 4 wires, hooked up with granpa style mechanical thermostat. If you already try DIY with some other brand with your 4 wire furnace, I share your pain with G wire situation. This one doesn’t need to modify wire routing or stuff. I don’t know which black magic they use, but this thing works without G wire. (Probably inner battery?)

The installation was simple. Love access to adjust temperature and monitor energy usage!

I'm heavily invested in the Nest Eco System so these were a welcome addition. They work great, are easy to set up and I'll definitely be adding more once I can find them on sale. $249 is a bit expensive for a thermostat regardless of what it does. All in all, I'm happy with my purchase and the quality of the product.

I purchase this unit for my home. I have a 3 zone heating and cooling system in my house. Before opening the box but after buying the Nest I read on the box to verify the unit will work on your system. The box says it will work on over 95% of homes in the US. I guess I must be one of the 5 % it doesnt work on. What was frustrating is that I checked the website and it told me to email technical support to verify it will work in my home. I did that and the customer support department told me that it would work. And for a short period of time it did. Until I realized that my upstairs and downstairs zones no longer worked. So in the end I had to return the device. But for the time I had the Nest it was very cool to run and play with.

I had an older model amd needed a new thermostat got this one amd its awesome. Smart wifi and its very cost efficient. Must buy
