Our old thermostat finally went kaput and the programming kept being reset. We decided that to invest in a good thermostat that would be better for us and a good investment so we went with the Nest. This thing is amazing. As someone who works from home, it's nice that I can control the temp from my phone and that I can set eco mode so if nobody walks in front of the device for a period of time, it will automatically drop the temp on the Nest to 67 (what we have set). We got the new 3rd generation and I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a new thermostat because it's high functionality and it's ability to be networked with other Nest products.

Recommended by a friend, finally got one, so easy to install by myself, and to setup, and it works great! Just what I needed. Going to make my life so much easier and save me money too.

I initially loved the Nest. Easy to install, sleek design, nice phone interface. Then it stopped working during one of the coldest days of the year due to a software issue. What if nobody had been home??? Back to non-smart thermostats for safety.

This was a replacement for an old 2nd Gen Nest. Pretty easy to install but it did require replacing the base which screws to the wall as the new connector is a different style. This added a bit of install time compared to what the AC repairman had told me. In the end everything works and I like the look of the white ring versus my original stainless steel model.

Great product and very easy to install. Watch the videos and follow the directions though. Make sure the power has been turned off as you don't want to short anything out.

My electric bills during the summer are high. More than they should be. Purchasing the Nest Thermostat is my first step to becoming more energy efficient. My wife swears our AC never turns off. With this thermostat I can visibly see when it's running or not. I can also see what temp the house currently is as the Nest works to bring it down to my desired temp. I've only had it powered on for 24 hours but I can already feel the impact it's making in our energy efficiency. I like that it also tells me how humid the house is inside. Waiting a few days to view the history of the thermostat but it will tell the story. Only took 30 minutes to install. Easily my best purchase so far of 2016.

For most people this would be a very easy and simple installation - there is even a screwdriver included in the package. However, the installers of my new furnace a few years ago clipped some wires so that I had to call someone to figure it out and install it. Not the product's fault, and I imagine 95% of purchasers won't have this issue. Anyway, now that it's been running for several weeks I couldn't be happier. I especially like that I can use the app on my phone to adjust the temperature in case I forget before leaving home, and it even learns my habits and turns the system on and off based on typical "away" travel. And even the design is stylish. Highly recommended.

did not use best buy one in the end due to nest sending a replacement for our bad one. nest support was responsive online and required pictures. they do not send new nest products to replace only refurbished ones and then tequire the faulty nest to be sent to them. our original nest lasted about a year before it malfunctioned and the refurbished one sent by nest company worked for a couple months before some setting seemed to disappear such as fan modes disappearing. also it auto set the heat to not turn on somehow even when it went below the user set lowest temp threshold when we thought we had turned the learning off. luckily the pipes did not freeze. overall, this device is nice when it works but does not seem to be reliable in the long run. we have no other smart thermostat to compare it to. our old no smart thermostat was much more reliable. if you would like the other smart functions to control the thermostat remotely, then this may be for you.

Having a smart thermostat just makes sense. The Nest also just looks cool and is easy to use. You go away for a weekend, turn off your system and hit cool or heat as you come into town...smart way to conserve energy and save money. Plus, we got a $75 check from the power company for buying an energy saving device, so it made it more affordable. The integration between Nest products and Google Home is also getting a lot better.

I did a lot of research over the last couple years and decided a nest thermostat would be the one I would install once I was ready to upgrade. I already had Honeywell products, but upon review, the nest met my needs not to mention it looked better. Installation was a breeze. Easy step by step directions as well as the tools needed. Set up was again easy to follow. Took a few minutes, but worth it. The nest works great and some how seems to be heating the house better than my old thermostat but runs the heater less. Not sure how, but I am amazed. Only thing I wish it had was a way to communicate with my alarm to use that to set the away mode (Eco mode)

Easy to install and get running. My 16 year old did everything, installation , wiring and configuration on my iPhone. Works like its supposed to. I can already see it reducing our gas bill.

This thermostat works great very versatile and easy to use. It was quick to install, looks nice on the wall. I would definitely purchase Nest Thermastats again.

This thermostat was very easy to install once I confirmed it was compatible with my current wiring. The ease of use, ability to control remotely, and the reporting make this purchase well worth it.

The Google Nest thermostat was easy to install and used the iPhone app for step by step instructions. The app also allows you to control the thermostat remotely. I haven’t used the learning part of the app because it’s based on your phone(s) location (for instance if I’m not home it would shut off even if there are other people there). It has an interesting rotating dial like a watch and when you want to select on a feature, you push the face in. It has a very modern appearance and clean look. I also like the fact that there’s no batteries to install or replace.

This is the second nest product I had bought. I would say this was easier to install than the nest (hello) doorbell. Works super well with Google home and the nest app it’s very easy to understand. You should definitely buy one of the sensors to goes with us and place it upstair if your thermostat is downstairs. This allows you to set the thermostat to the coldest room in the winter or the hottest room in the summer. Overall, a solid product. You may even get a rebate from your local utility as well to offset the cost.

The Nest Learning Thermostat 3rd Generation Brass model is beautiful and delightful to use. I reviewed the pro's and con's (not many con’s) thoroughly and when thermostat went on sale and combined with the local utility rebate I purchased it. It has pretty much lived up to all the pro's and more. The thermostat was easy to install and if you do your research - watch a bunch of YouTube video's and follow the directions - it works. Wi-Fi functions perfectly. Never had a problem since I installed it. I also purchased 3 sensors to give me a total view and control of temperature throughout the house. It connects to the Google Assistant where I am able to check and set the temperature of the main thermostat. Awesome! I have been monitoring the history of the heating unit (purchased in colder season so haven't used for cooling yet) which I was unable to do with the traditional programmable thermostat I had previously and it’s great to see and be able to make decisions on heating the house based on this knowledge. I have started to program the heating activity throughout the daily and weekly schedule but haven’t even scratched the service of this powerful tool. All-in-all we are very pleased and would purchase again. It really has revolutionized the way we monitor and control the temperature of the house which in the long run has to save on energy consumption! But in the end it’s all about feeling comfortable in our home and this thermostat has given us greater control over that!

This is our second Nest. We have one upstairs and one on the main level. We love being able to control the temperature in our bedroom by setting it to the perfect temperature a few minutes before we go up so we can go right to bed. We also love how it integrates with Wemo devices and the rules that go along with them. I do wish the App did a better job at detecting home/away. Overall the Thermostat is awesome, very easy to set up with lots of advanced features for professional installation if you have a complex system. Very pleased.
