It was very easy to install and came with very clear instructions and little flags to keep track of which wires go where. Creating a schedule either from my phone, the website or the Nest itself was quite straight forward. But my FAVORITE feature is its ability to "know" when I'm home or away based on the home WiFI connection of my phone. Regardless of the schedule, it'll lower the heat when it determines I'm not home. I don't know how long it waits to decide that, but it just works.

Good thermostat if your wiring supports it

I had to hire a contractor to change some wiring because my existing system was missing certain wires.

This one was added to the basement so that I could control downstairs temperature. Installation was a bit more complicated due to my furnace and wiring so I called support, who was EXTREMELY helpful and even emailed me a diagram of how to connect the wires. Great product, great service. Try and pick up during one of their sales when it is about $50 off every day price though.
