I've bought two of these thermostats now for my house and have save well over 100$ in just a few months by using them!!

We were due for a new HVAC system and decided on the Nest Thermostat.Considering the rebates from the utility companies the cost was not an option.

I installed the NEST thermostat myself, no 'professional installation' needed. It was easy to set up and connect to our home network. I also added it to Alexa's skills, so I can easily control it through the voice commands. I really like how it will tell you when your furnace needs service, like filter changes. I also purchased the NEST CO2/Smoke alarm and installed it at the same time.

Works great. I like the black version. Has two colors with the wall plate (black and white) instead of 3 (silver,black,white). I can control from my phone app which is cool when im sleeping and it gets hot i dont have to run downstairs. But sometimes doesnt work great when its cool outside and house gets warm inside. Have to activate ac myself but i dont mind. Overall i would buy again and recommend it.

Love this. Especially love being able to control and adjust it from work or anywhere.

Set it and forget it. Once youve installed your thermostat, it knows what temperature to keep your house at at different parts of the day. for example i like my house to be a little cooler at night, so it automatically makes it cooler at 10pm when im getting ready for bed. it knows when my wife and i are away from the house, and knows to raise the temperature so that we save money on our electric bill.

It's sleek, easy to use, and just looks good with any interior setting. Great product.

I highly recommend a Nest, I have already seen a difference in my bill in only one month of use. Its very easy to set up once install and the app is very user friendly.

In short this app nor the product is very smart. The rigid adherence to the schedule is the largest issue. If I've changed the house temp 5min ago, I don't still want the thermostat to move to the sleeping temp at the scheduled time. The result is I find myself fighting the schedule more often than not and in the inverse I wake up in the middle of the night hot & sweaty for those night I'd forgot to turn the heat down (e.g. after I'd adjusted it after a schedule change). I'm unsure why this smart thermostat doesn't have the feature to return to the schedule after 2-4 hours of me making an adjustment as my last smart thermostat had. Even if we suspect that is a feature covered by a patent surely Google could use that big data it has on me from my Pixel, or my other nest devices to realize I've gone to sleep and that the regular scheduled program can be resumed. Lastly, as many have pointed out here on other comments/posts, the Assistant needs to be able to exit ECO mode in one step. Why should I have to provide the two steps as if I'm performing some unsafe action by removing my house from ECO. The Assistant could simply chime back, "Okay, we've turned ECO off and set the temperature to 66 Degrees". Hope to hear your gripes in the comments below.

Overall good quality product. Make sure your thermostat is in a place that will have traffic, otherwise, you will find like I did that some automation features will not function properly as intended by this type of technology. Usage report could use a little updating, not too informative.
